DNA MOTORING CBE-HC06EX-BT Catback Exhaust System [for 06-11 Honda Civic EX/LX/DX]

I honestly knew I was really setting myself up for disaster when I decided to do an exhaust mod on my 2008 Honda Civic EX, but curiosity really got the better of me with this one. I looked up a youtube video of different exhaust kits that could be mounted to an 8th gen Civic SI and I picked out the sound that I liked the best which was the DNA Motoring exhaust. I was a little dismayed to see what I thought was a fart can, but I was blown away when I put it on and started the car up. This exhaust doesn't really make your car much louder like a Skunk2 exhaust would, however, it will lower the pitch considerably. The exhaust fit on my 2008 Honda Civic EX Coupe, however, check the metal exhaust channel under the car when installing it. The pipe needs to be warped a bit to keep from melting the surrounding plastic and the metal channel will rattle against the exhaust pipe if the channel is bent at all before installing the pipe. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and I would recommend it!

It fits the car but after a couple days of weeks driving as a daily it starts to rattle and when it pops it makes a can noise but not bad for the price

Fits well on 2006 DX coupe just be prepared to drill out the studs on your downpipe unless you are lucky and they don't snap or strip. Some people stated that you can use a torch and knock it out with an air hammer but others have also stated that they had no luck. this took me lots of trips to the home depot and buying cobalt drill bits and using a center punch to finally put in some 3/16 bolts, make sure they are grade 8 and can withstand high temps.. Be sure to also tighten the long pipe and the axle pipe before tying to get it on the down pipe (3 bolts). otherwise you will kick yourself later because it will be impossible to get the gasket it lined up perfectly. Also I recommend getting new rubber hangers because currently the exhaust is rattling on the heatshield/suspension because the hangers have too much give and muffler hangs slightly lower than I want.As far as performance it is LOUD. So loud I decided to actually use the silencer for now because I don't want to be obnoxious to the neighbors. It also burbles and pops which is nice.As far as quality- its definitely thin and I'm not sure how it will hold up over timeMy recommendation- just take it to the shop if you don't have a lift or extra tools such as torch, punch, drill bits, 4 jack stands, etc.. I probably spent just as much or more on tools and also ended up with a kink in my neck. The DIY was not worth it.

I guess you get what you pay for. None of the hangers were right. Had to bend and reshape all of them. Main pipe off the down pipe was 3” too long. Had to cut it off and reweld the flange. Lesson learned for me.
