I put this on my low windowsills near the pup's crate. I was worried about it being able to wrap around and cover the whole ledge. While it took a lot of tumb-nail pressing (I was too stubborn to use a quarter or whatever) from the middle out to prevent air bubbles, I saw that it went around the sides well. You just need to press tight to the rim edge before folding over it? I pulled it up to readjust it at some point and the wood underneath was fine. Hopefully if we need to pull it up the wood will be fine then too! Potential repainting is preferable to replacing a windowsill. I actually put this on my wall too since the xpen was bumping up against it. Works well there too! I need more - did two windowsills and a patch on the wall, only have a bit left over but I might put it everywhere. Buying more now.

So long as it sticks for a while, it may be one of the greatest inventions ever! One of those "why didn't I think of that" inventions :)

Tried to put this on our master bedroom window sill to prevent our toddler from chewing anymore of the paint and plaster (I know, kids do the dangdest things). Had it measured, sill is fairly uniform the entire width, but we ran into a problem with the adhesion not sticking evenly, and started to cause it to not sit flush. When we tried to readjust it, the glue was so strong, it started taking off the paint in the places where it had already touched. needless to say, we had to retouch the sill, and reapply the tape in sections to avoid any misalignment. be careful if using as a single strip, and plan to have paint and Spackle just in case.

I bought this product because I thought it would be the solution to keeping our windowsill safe from our birds. It went on smoothly and seemed thick and sturdy, and I thought our problems were solved.Not a chance. Before even a half hour had passed, the adhesion gave out and the tape became unstuck from the corner of the window sill. It's absolutely useless. What a waste of money.Now we're trying to find something that will actually do what this product claims to do.

Didn’t hold up. Very easy to install and seems like a good product for mild scratchers but not for heavy duty uses that I was in need of.

Our dog likes to claw at our back door and my husband has replaced the weather stripping on our door at least 10 times in the last few months. I was fed up and I started looking for a solution. This was a perfect solution for us. We applied the product two weeks ago and the weather strip looks great. It also looks like it hold up in the rainy weather we have had. We have plenty of product leftover should we need to use it or replace it. My husband states the clawguard doesn't create a 100% air sealed to prevent air leaks but I am okay with that since we don't have to replace the weather strip weekly. Hallelujah!

Pulled up paint from windowsills.

I am very pleased with how this is holding up so far. Just refinished my window ledge from 3 dogs tearing it up with their toe nails. It will take off some polyurethane, when and if I have to re-do it, but hoping not to have to do that for a long time! Has adhered great and not coming up anywhere. Used it on 2 large picture windows with side casements. This was a much more economical choice than plexiglass that wasn't going to fit as well.
