Surprisingly good at this price range
Although the dimensions are well stated in the advertising, when you open the box- they're small. That's ok, though- they throw a LOT of light! I chose these because I wanted a broader beam than most moving head lights which have a highly focused beam. I may get some like that later, but the broad pattern on these is quite cool.Colors are bright and the movement is smooth. I connected two via DMX and have the master light set for sound activation. They slowly sweep in sync when there's no sound, then respond when they detect sound. Having two of these in sync is a pretty impressive display, especially when you consider two of these cost less than many single moving head lamps. The instructions are poor, but there's enough there to guide you through a little experimentation. After tinkering a little, I'm confident I can make these do whatever I need. Are these as good as the $1000 "pro" lights? I don't know- but I can tell you that these work well, appear well made and there is no better bang for the buck.Tempted to knock a star off for documentation, but once you know what the menu options mean- anyone can configure these. I'll be buying the single focus beam version from this vendor as well.

WOW ! ! ! Wish I would have bought two.
The media could not be loaded. I have to say I am completely amazed by this light. For the price I was not expecting much. My first surprise was when I got the box. This thing actually had some weight to it. I opened it up and it was very well packaged securely encased in foam. It is made of plastic but is a better quality plastic that is very solid and well made. Everything just feels like it is a good quality moving head lamp.I will say the manual needs a lot of work but the light is such a good deal that I wont even take a star off for it. Everything is pretty easy to figure out without it anyway. I will be using it mainly with a DMX controller anyway. It comes with a bracket so it can be hung from above or sit on a table top. It even has a setting to make the display upside down when it is hung upside down. It definitely has a lot of great features.I made the mistake of turning it on with it pointed in my face. DONT DO THAT. This thing is actually very bright and the movement is very smooth without being jerky at all. All of the colors are bright and vibrant and it actually has real UV LED's. They are true UV blacklights, not just purple. That is why they are not as bright as the other colors but they definitely make things glow for a good distance like a good blacklight will. The strobe feature works better than some of the DMX strobe lights that I have. They are bright as hell and using a DMX controller you can set the speed and brightness to get just what you want. I really am impressed with this light. I just wish I had bought a few more. I tried just using it on the auto sound modes and it actually worked pretty well. My DJ system has 3 3000 watt amps and even with it cranked up pretty loud I was able to adjust the sensitivity of the built in mic to only pick up the bass beats. This gives it a really nice effect.. When in auto mode it changes color and speed and sometimes switches to strobe effects. Overall just a great light. I would definitely recommend getting two of them and having them synced to move together. Will take any DJ's light show up a notch and bring new life to a party.

Great small DMX light for the price
Bought 6 of these and I control them via my DMX console. They are fast, bright and compact in size. All the LED chips are nice and bright besides the UV which is to be expected. Only time the fixture would loose calibration is when someone would touch it. If you are running in sound mode and expect the auto sequences to match that wont be the case. I noticed 2 different "sound startup' patterns the fixture was doing. I shut all these functions off as I am using a real DMX controller and not auto BS. It has 3 modes when it loses DMX signal. Blackout, Sound and last state. I also had bought some other lights in the same price range but the DMX control channels were written very horribly. The Tomshine fixture had very clear DMX channel profile and all the necessary components for pricise control including 16 bit movement control. I may even buy more!

Nice little light, but very noisy
I got this to see whether it would work in a theatrical environment, and I'm afraid the answer is no.Before I get into why not, let me just say that I love how small and light it is; and that it is reasonably bright (with all the colors (except UV) at full, I measured about 4000 lux at about 1 meter; but take that with a grain of salt because I didn't measure the distance). The color is kind of violet with all the colors at full, but obviously one can adjust the color while sacrificing a bit of intensity. Here are the two deal-breakers for me: first, the fan is very noisy. I measured about 60 dbA a few inches away from the unit. I'm sure that's fine for a DJ, but it's way too loud for a stage play. Second, it won't dim smoothly to black. The difference between "0" and "1" (out of 255) intensity is noticeable, so you'll notice them sort of pop on (if you're fading up) or off (if you're fading to black). Again, I doubt that would be an issue for a DJ, so if that's your intended use, go for it. (That's why I didn't give a lower rating.)I need to think about whether there's any way I could use this, because I really do like how small and bright it is, but it just won't make a good stage light for general purpose use. I'll probably have to return it.
