This is a great window AC kit. It’s simple to assemble and place into the window. The value is fantastic. The hose easily attaches to the unit. It’s got a good seal with the enclosed seal options. Seems like it will last a lifetime. I also love the security lock, they really thought of every thing

I was confused by the number of negative reviews. It seemed there were as many 1 star reviews as there were 5 star reviews. Some people couldn't get it to work or spent hours installing it. Others said it was very cheap.This fit perfectly and was higher quality than the window seal kit that came from the manufacturer. I bought a window AC, GE brand, used at a garage sale and the window kit was missing. GE sold the kit from their website for $40 and I found these for $20. This kit is sturdier than the GE kit, AND it comes with insulation for around the window, which the OEM kit does not. It fit together very quickly, covered the gap in my large horizontal window (slides left to right, not up and down), and the insulation tape seals up the window as well as if it were closed. The hose fit perfectly and snugly, and the panels are thick plastic and don't feel cheap at all. I'm so glad I went for this kit over the GE kit - very happy

Heavy duty, nice that it has a screen integrated to keep bugs out.Could not figure out how to use the 'screws' that you are supposed to use for smaller windows.They are just little plastic push in prices that just fall out.Used other nuts and bolts I had available to put pieces together.

I bought this as a window vent for my CO2 laser and installed it in a standard wood-framed casement window. The plastic is rigid enough and it has good rubber gaskets on the ends.On the other hand, it's obviously designed to fit exactly one model of window, most likely with a metal frame. The window lock didn't fit my wooden frame and went straight into the recycle bin. The gasket material was only half the necessary thickness, so I'll have to make a trip to the hardware store for the correct size. Most frustrating, my standard 6" expandable hose didn't fit the adapter. I had to snip the end of the hose and use a worm clamp to secure it to the window unit.For what this cost, I would have done better to make one from plywood and a couple of parts from the hardware store. I was very disappointed, but gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because I was eventually able to make it work.

It makes a good fit, it feels stronger, keep out the flies and it is easy to install

Fast shipping. Item is as described, make sure you measure your hose. Heads up, you cannot detach the adapter from the window plate. Also the plates have a white powder that smells like rubber, nothing some lite soap and water will fix. I like the accessories, the silicone window sealer, the weather stripping and window lock were helpful especially filling the small gaps. Overall fits the window and worth the money.

There is nothing positive I have to say about this. It claimed to be flexible enough to fit my 47" high window but it was too tall despite struggling with it for 30 minutes in different configurations. The pieces go together with cheap plastic rivets they call "screws". They are not screws and they fit together very hard and can easily pop loose. The fitting on the connection was not the correct size despite saying it fit my hose. If I had to guess this is something akin to a 1000% markup in terms of what it cost to make. The instructions were absolutely worthless giving no information on how the pieces fit together. Save yourself the pain and do not buy this.
