Q: What does RMS stand for?

Although not fullproof, RMS is a closer representation of the power pushing the speaker volume. Total power is deceptive as it measures all power being used, even all the random electronics inside that do not affect volume. So the closest apples to apples you can get when comparing volume capabilities between various speakers is RMS power.

The sections loosen up with use. Until then, I remove the entire array and then separate them.

Q: Do the speakers screech if a microphone gets too close?

No because I didn't get that close to the speaker with the microphone. That will cause the feed back from the sound of the speaker being fed into the microphone which feeds back into the speaker. Also if the treble is too high will cause the feed back.

Q: Could an acoustic duo use this system, meaning 2 inputs for vocals, 2 for guitar? Without having to bring in another mixer?

You only have two combo inputs for guitar and vocal. You would have to use a additional mixer because the other input sources are only line level. You need a input for each microphone and a Hi-Z input source for your guitars. Unless you have amplifiers that you’re using separately for your guitars you could take a line out form your Guitar amp and feed that into the line and puts on inputs 3-4or 5-6.
