Get you Aebelskiver pan
Not many people make these, and they are missing out! The pan is configured well, and heavy duty cast iron. It's not well finished cast iron, so the surface is fairly rough. I haven't found it to be too rough to use, and expect it to get better with age and use. The tongs that are provided are exactly what you would expect. The flipping technique requires some practice, but once you get it, then you get perfect Aebelskivers. I make them with almost any fruit, or sometimes sausage and maple syrup. Great camp staple breakfast!!!

Aebleskiver Pan In Use
Excellent quality. Worked great. We followed the seasoning steps before use. During the first attempt at cooking Poffertjes I noticed a little sticking, but the recipe we were using called for brushing melted butter in the wells before pouring in batter. For the subsequent batches I sprayed a little PAM across the wells and this seemed to work better. Took a little while for us to get acquainted with the wooden utensils, which never using before we soon became old pro's at rolling the Poffertjes over in the wells. This Poffertjes we made are to accompany my daughter's final school project on the Netherlands. We both learned a lot from this endeavor and enjoyed cooking together. They were delicious and I'm sure we'll be trying different "Dutch Donuts" recipes in the near future. My only complaint is the silicon sleeve on the handle doesn't insulate very well. Does its job at protecting you from inadvertent burns while holding handle to move skillet, but if cooking for a while may still want to use an oven mitt, etc.

Very disappointed with the product
Complete lie about the size and video post is a complete. How to use it also a lie.The videos should be pulled down and tell the customer the actual size. Video shows how you could use the pan to make various dishes ...not true. I also set my house on fire by following the usage instructions.

Excellent pan! Perfect for South-Indian paniyaram
I love it !I did 3 rounds of seasoning. Regular vegetable oil, 475 F oven for 1 hour, repeat. The very first batch were dreadful, and got stuck. But it was easy to scrape it all off with the skewers. After that, it's been wonderful to use. Had to experiment to get the perfect stovetop setting, so it doesn't overheat. Now it's almost non-stick. Made my mom jealous :P

Perfect little pan! Love it!
This little pan is perfect! I followed the pan seasoning instructions exactly as written. However, on the pre-wash before seasoning, I had to scrub really hard, using a very stiff brush and an SOS pad to get the protective coating off. Make sure you thoroughly dry the pan immediately, then oil it, and bake in oven as instructed. ANY cast iron that doesn’t have a proper, protective seasoning (or coating) on it WILL rust. Once I seasoned the pan, it worked like a charm! First batch of Aebleskiver’s didn’t even stick to pan at all! The little cookbook that comes with the pan has good information on seasoning the pan, but the recipe in the book is confusing and hard to follow. I searched the Internet and got some really good recipes there.

Mixed review
Saw one on TV and had to try it. I like trying new things. These are mini pancakes. It says it is seasoned but I seasoned it again anyway for good measure, as I own lots of cast iron and I know how sticky they can be first use or two. However, like others, made the mistake and did not overly greasing it the first time I used. Big mess. Had to start over. Wasn't really happy about that but more angry at myself. 2nd batch was better, but we all thought why not just make pancakes. Kind of a pain to operate and has a few design flaws. Meaning, the bottom of the pan resembles the top only opposite. It is not flat bottom but humps from the way it was molded. This does not sit well on my range grate. Wobbles and hard to keep level. Lastly, the handle is small and gets super hot, even with the silicon protective sleeve. Wish the handle was longer so I can get some better leverage and work on end where there is less heat. With all this, probably would not buy again and feels too gimmicky and flawed for consistent use. Giving it 3 stars as it is what it is, but with some flaws that don't make me get excited to break it out often.
