Now that Lowe's commercial makes sense to me!
Like that commercial from Lowe's, my deck now feels like mine and not the previous owner, since I purchased this home less than 2 years ago. My deck is about 7 years old and we get a lot of rain, so it was time to get this done. I researched a lot of different products, but this was the right choice! Love the color (cedar) to give the deck a renewed look and the protection from both the rain and the UV is exceptional. Wanted to apply it with a sprayer, but instead applied it with rollers and brushes, to ensure the application was proper, and overspray was a non issue. There is a slight lack of uniformity in the color, primarily due to the discoloring of the wood, since this really should have been done a couple years ago, so not the fault of the product, but maybe if I apply another coat next year, it might even out. My wrap around deck took me about 5-6 days by myself, at about 6 hours per day, but I was meticulous and the result is fabulous.

Works well for my deck
I like the color. Product works well for my deck. Easy to put on with both a roller and a brush. Definitely provides water resistance. Chose to put on several coats.Slightly better price than my local Lowes.

Thompson's used to be good
The 3 coats of this I put on my deck are already gone after one winter. I've done this many times before and had good luck. I don't know what they've done differently, but I will find an alternative this year.

went on smooth, color is great, smoothes out weathered wood surface
We bought a beautiful outdoor table with a white metal frame and a slatted wood top. In our alternately sunny, rainy, cool, and dry Northern California climate, the wood top began to lose its original warm blonde tone within 3 months, and started to look gray. At the same time, as the fall set in and rains became more frequent, I also saw the familiar black dots of mildew starting to show. So! I sanded the top lightly with a fine grit orbital sander, and applied a coat of good old Thompson's WaterSeal and let it dry on a sunny afternoon.Looks smooth, consistent in tone, and brand-new! Best of all, when it rained later in the week, the water beaded up rather than absorbing.Good stuff!

Just okay for heavy use and harsh conditions.
I'm getting about 2 years before it's wearing off the deck. But we get a lot of snow and use salt. So that's pretty abrasive on the wood.
