Q: are they comfortable?

The Gen 2 - SRH840-A is NOT comfortable at all, if your head size is average or above average size because it won't fit your head properly. It's their biggest design flaw that make them unusable.

Q: are they good for overdubbing?... i want headphone that dont leak when recording a singer while he listens the backing track.

They have good quality for not being on max volume, and they wont fall off that easy, but if you put the max volume (and you migth need to if you wanna lisin to all the detals, at least in my own expirience) it will leak out a little. If you got a good mic, it should not pick background noise. (if you are worried that the sound from your headphones migth catch up, you should get a shure mic instead of the headphones :p )

They are excellent for recording and mixing live bands. I use them when I'm working sound and for general listening.These are not weak headphones and require a strong signal. Weak amplification from devices at full volume will produce distortion.Also, I've owned my pair for TWO years now and they still operate perfectly!
