Newmans Own Organics, Fig Newmans, 10 Ounce

These are great! Really makes you think about why they put dyes in their main brand cookies at all ..

I loved Fig Newtons as a child and find this organic version of fig bars to be delicious.

These are good and I will buy them again, but they're not great. I do like everything about the original fig newtons better, such as their larger size and more rectangular shape, plus they're softer. These Newmans seem to have more of a factory made sense to them, made into perfect squares, etc. They just don't seem as good because they're smaller. I think the best thing about them is the fact that they're organic and healthy while being a cookie at the same time, so they feel more like a snack, instead of an indulgence. For this reason, I also like that they can be served as appetizers where you might serve figs, or offer a fig jam or spread. These fit right into that scheme. These are a really cool cookie overall, but they could be better if designed larger and more rectangular like the original fig Newtons. I will buy again, though.
