Takes out silt and is easy to maintain
These worked perfectly for my application. We had a water softener installed and there was a little media that got in my washer line. The media kept clogging the hose filter. I put this filter in the cold washer line and works like a charm. I have cleaned the filter once since install.

Nice little filter, useful for protecting washers!
I use this to protect our clothes washer and also our high-pressure car washer. We use well water and sometimes silt can get sucked up creating gritty particulate in the lines. Both our house pipes and our garden hoses experience the silt. Silt backup in the washer lines can badly damage the laundry washer or a pressure-washer pump. these filters are easy to clean and easy to install. They should come with more 'female' connector ends though so you don't have to try to screw it right onto the pipe/spigot. We have ours connected between 2 hose points, so we can control where it is hung. (above the washer) and can monitor the silt levels as well as shut off the water and clean the filters with a large bucket or coffee can to catch the opened catch basin water of the filter. works good. We got the 3 pack, 1hot 1cold and 1 for the garden hose which we connect to the car-pressure-washer. the high-density filter is the only filter we use. the other 3 it comes setup with let too much particulate through.

Excellent hardware but o-ring seals are too small, causing leaks
These would be perfect if not for the o-rings that are included, which appear to be about 2mm too small in diameter. This makes it nearly impossible to successfully re-attach the canister after cleaning the filter without the unit leaking. I solved this with after market o-rings that are 58mm in diameter (OD).

Broke quickly
Bought these to filter the water to my garden. Sadly they both broke within a week.

it pops off
Stop . after about two months , the plastic canister pops off and you have water everywhere. It looks well built but this was my experience.Chris W

Seal
Seals broke after a couple years, but they do a good job keeping sediment out of irrigation system

Stops sand from plugging up sprinklers
I was always having trouble with sand in my water plugging up my sprinklers. After installing these the problem is alleviated.
