Smart Sole 4.0 C BKS 42 ST RH

All I can say is "why didn't I buy this club sooner"? I was hesitant to add a 4th wedge to my bag but after using my buddies SS 4.0 I was convinced to add it. I'm actually an 8 handicap, my one "Kryptonite" has been greenside chips or short-distance pitch shots (especially off "tight" lies). This club make those shots as low-stress as anything you'll ever try! I originally bought this for shots < 30yds but after hitting on the range I'm able to comfortably hit this club up to 100-120yds with very high accuracy. I'll caveat that by stating the ball flight is notably lower than my 54 S at that same distance but still great for runway-style approach shots, particularly "blue" pin locations. Super versatile club and very easy to hit. The contact is generally very smooth, the only adjustment I've found was getting used to the "heavy" weighted head, the ball can come of hotter than expected when you first hit it but once you get that dialed in you'll absolutely love this club! This is truly a game-changer for me, very happy with this purchase.

I started golfing a lot about 15 months ago and I thought this would help my short game. Chipper putters are rare on the golf course and I got a little teasing from my playing partners. I don’t use it often because my chipping has got a lot better. Maybe if I practiced with it more I could utilize it better. It’s a good club but not really necessary if you can execute short chips or like to use the “Texas Wedge”. I’ll keep it in my closet for now but wouldn’t hesitate to put it back in my bag after some more practice.

Pretty nice chipper club, but in all honesty the Mazel square is easier to hit. If you plan to get this, you might as well just chip with your 9 iron since it's basically the same thing.

I have another Cleveland wedge I purchased about 6 years ago and decided it was time to try some new technology. I purchased this club and it really is amazing. Even though I don't always make perfect contact it still lands on the green as if it knows what it's supposed to do! The smart sole always sets ups me up for success. I even use it when I would previously use a 7 iron because it gets the job done and I love the feel. It is because of the this club that I decided to get fitted for a set of Cleveland woods and driver. Looking forward to the same experience.

I was very worried I would not like this chipper as much as my previous one that is probably 30 years old. But this thing is much better! Coming from someone who doesnt like to change things in his bag this was a huge upgrade. More of a club like feel instead of a putter shaped chipper, makes for much bettter accuracy/maneuverability. I watched all the videos on what chipper was best for me and my game so I hope this review saves someone some time. If you're thinking about it do it.

I'm fairly competent when it comes to chipping from 60 yards in, so when I tried this chipper, it didn't give me any more accuracy. But, I think for golfers who can't chip or skull their chip shots, this would be great. Personally, I returned it.

I took it to the course right after receive it. At very first hole my chipping is in and saved as par. Need to do some works for the distance controls but Target aim and direction is so much easier than my sand wedge. No more thin or fat shots around the flange and I don't have to use my putter as Texas wedge and hope for the best. If you're weekend golfer like me you must try this.

My only negative cause it works great is I’d like it to be a bit longer. I will add an extension.
