Q: The -320 i just received feels scratchy. is there some adjustment i need to make in my writing style? my cheaper harder nib pens seem smoother to me.

Not sure. Might depend on the size of your nib. My fine is stiff but very smooth. Wider nibs are smoother. If it is still scratchy with anything other than EF, consider sending it back for adjustment.

You can go to www.nibs.com/pen_measures/ and compare as many different pens as you want. He has posted length (cap on) or closed length, weight, width, etc. Great tool for those of us who like the larger pens but don't have a pen shop in town. Steve
