Comfortable value holster
I have spent thousands of dollars on expensive holsters and different sized carry guns. It’s almost insulting how comfortable this holster is and how good of a job it does on my full-size government 45. Break it in using a ziploc bag over your gun. You get what you pay for it dosent have a claw or anything but fits right at 11:45-1200 appendix for the money I’d say go for it.

Great holster!
I was skeptical at first that a holster with such a low price tag could be a quality item. I was wrong. The leather is gorgeous. It is very well made and functions perfectly. Very comfortable too. Fit on the firearm is snug enough you can invert it and it will not slip out. Drawing and re-holstering is smooth. It will not collapse after the draw. Highly recommended!

Good leather, okay design, poor clip
I don't hate this holster, but I really wanted to like it more. The leather is nice, and it fits the gun well.I have two gripes.First, and less importantly, I strongly believe that every iwb holster like this, for a 1911(!), absolutely should have a raised flap between the body and the safety and hammer portion of the gun.Maybe people will disagree with that, but they are wrong. The second problem is the belt clip. It has a good length, starched at an appropriate height, good gap for belt and pants, but it is just too dang narrow. Idk why they cheaped out and made such a narrow clip, but it reduces retention and makes the holster less secure.Otherwise, decent holster. Disappointed is not better, because I really like the leather.Edit: I stand by my complaints, but I feel that 3 stars was unfair. I'll give it 4

Great for the price!
Very tight at first for a typical 5 inch 1911. I removed the metal clip and heat treated it via microwave twice and it's a perfect fit.To heat treat it throw it in a microwave ( after removing the meal clip ) for about 20 seconds. Place gun in the holster and let it cool. Repeat one or two more times and the gun should be snug but not catch when pulling.

works for most, not for all, but can be remidied
I bought this for my 1911 with a rail. It doesn't fit even close to where I could break it in. So I am just going to use it for a 1911 without a rail. Even so it is going to be tight after break in. That is not an issue though since it will provide excellent retention for carry and hold shape for holstering. Stitching seems high quality with nice diameter waxed thread. Belt clip is strong enough to draw successfully without requiring two muscular hands to attach or remove. For the price it is an excellent bit of leather work. After I use this for a bit, I might break my warrantee and oil it to see if I can get it to take the firearm I bought it for. Chances are it will loose its ability to stay open while empty. But I have experience with leather and know how to go about it so don't copy me.*Edit*So as a few months go by I figured I would share some longer term points. If you are like me and have a 1911 with an under barrel rail, it will work if you oil it up. It won't take on the first oiling, but I oiled it three times an evening and forced the firearm on in there as far as I could go with out busting the stiching for about a week. Each time I would rest the leather with the firearm in it. Keep in mind if you do this too, the leather will leach the oil off your gun and cause it to rust. So I had to generosly oil my 1911 each evening too. To keep from damaging the holster's ability to hold is self open I only oiled in the areas that I wanted to soften. It will eventually leach that oil throughout all the leather so I had to do well not to overdo it.With the holster broken in and mated well to my 1911 it makes for my favorite EDC concealed holster I own as of current. After using this for a few months I can say with honesty that I am quite satisfied with the purchase and will purchase another for my 1911 without a rail.

High Quality - A Treat for Your 1911
Right out of the box this is what I was looking for to take care of my S&W1911PD. Its a full size 1911 that sits at home too much because I just didn't know for sure what to get for it. I wanted something that would not only fit well in the waistband but would also give me the gun fit I wanted. I took a gamble and came up a winner with the Relentless Tactical Defender.Take a look at my photos, I provided an open end view so you can see how far the pistol rests down in the holster, its about a dime distance away from the barrel to the end of the holster for this particular gun. The S&W1911PD slide measures out to just about 6 3/4 inches (8.0 overall gun length) and holster clearance measurement from front end to trigger guard is 3", so you can see that it fits VERY NICELY.Comfort level is excellent with this holster and I find that the clip is sufficiently tight enough that its not going to try and come out with the gun on a draw. We'll see how that lasts over time because now that I have a viable holster, guess who gets to start going to more dinners and movies with me? (All you 1911 guys and gals out there appreciate the love fest we have with these things right?)Plus wow, it looks great too! Not that I really care about that as much, but it doesn't hurt to have a handsome companion for your pistol.Just want to add my apologies for the desk shadows in the pics. I actually scratched the crown of the holster putting the gun in the safe, very minor and nobody's fault but my own - just adds character and an ownership mark. :)Shipment was fast, discreet enough packaging and right on time. Pretty impressed with Relentless so far! Keep up the great work of getting quality products. Would not hesitate to order again.Respectfully, yours.
