Excellent! Very happy with this product!
Very happy with this product! I was curious about it for some time, & held off on ordering due to inconsistent reviews. I am so glad I finally did order! This is an excellent product! My 2yo is the user, he initially did not take to it. We'd already transitioned to straw cups & hard top sippy cups. After a few days he took to it & wanted his water bottle. I always have water bottles with me for my use & many times wanted to give him a sip, but I know how he'll tip the bottle & dump most of it all over himself. This is wonderful! So easy to use, & fits my Crystal Geyser water bottles perfectly (I am noting brand because I wanted to know this before I ordered - so anyone else who loves only this brand of water can make note that it fits these water bottles). I wish I'd ordered 2 originally because this is so handy, I'd like one in my diaper backpack for emergencies. I leave one with him at daycare each day, makes toting to/from daycare easier. I can just give him a tiny water bottle with this lid.The only slightly negative is that due to suction your bottle will begin to collapse; although this is probably the only way to make this spill proof, I'm not entirely sure this could be resolved. Overall, I am still extremely satisfied & would highly recommend this. When the bottle begins collapsing I just have my son hand it to me, untwist the cap & open, blow some air into the bottle & it expands. I use the very small bottles that are 6 oz. I believe; these caps also work very well on Kirkland (Costco brand) small water bottles. I actually think this would be a great baby shower gift; I love to give away my favorite products at baby showers.

Nope
So I was really excited to try these out for my second child since I knew that we would be hitting up several birthday parties this summer and they always have those mini bottles of water, which a toddler under 2 cannot really drink from yet (at least my boys can’t). I even purchased the 3 packs to be able to get them shipped. I even remembered to bring them to the party and low and behold they had the mini water bottles. So I got the spout out and somewhat smugly screwed on the spout and handed it to my 17 month old. Nope. First of all, it leaked from the seal. I didn’t realize that you need some threads to be able to seal the spout onto the water bottle correctly. So I tried to get that plastic ring off of the water bottle to get it screwed down more tightly. Mission impossible. But then secondly, the hole in the end of the spout is designed in such a way that you can’t even get water sucked through it!? What’s the point of that!? I tried to even cut the hole bigger with a scissors and it didn’t even matter!? All the water was spilling from the bottom of the spout and nothing coming out of the actual tip. Ugh. So perhaps with a different water bottle and perhaps if I cut the entire tip off the spout, this may work. And I will try that eventually at the next birthday party. But it did not work when I needed it. Love the concept, but needs some major tweaks! Don’t waste your money - just bring your kids’ actual water bottles to the party.

Good concept, poor design
I bought these for my daughter b/c she saw everyone drinking from water bottles and she wanted to do so too. The cap fits fine on water bottles, just have to flip the cap as it offers two sizes. However, drinking from it poses a problem. When my daughter sucks on the spout, it tends to close/collapse, luck sucking air out of a balloon. This is b/c there is no vent in the spout to draw air in as she sucks the water out. I then have to take the bottle, loosen the cap to get air in, which pops it back up, then tighten it back on the bottle. Green sprouts needs to redesign this cap with a small vent. I have another bottle cap adapter, it's just the silicone that one pulls over the opening of the bottle, it has a vent, and even though it doesn't have a cap to tighten, it works better than this Green Sprouts model.
