IMPECCABLE INFORMATION ~ THOROUGHLY UPDATED AND REVISED!
Of his ten books published to date, Ivan Antic’s SÂMKHYA: AN ANCIENT SCIENCE OF NATURE AND THE HUMAN SOUL is arguably his most potent and important delineation of ancient/modern wisdom. This current version has been thoroughly updated and revised for the English-speaking reader. The result is a much richer and deeper understanding of a most provocative and ancient wisdom teaching. One should be prepared for this book. They should already be groomed for the deeper understanding provided here. Primarily by reading Mr. Antic’s previous works, but also by reading much of his source material, which is extensive. The benefit of such preparation is to acknowledge one’s personal limits of current understanding. The information presented is impeccable. Jewels of pure enlightenment glitter from every page, sometimes disguised as simple, throwaway statements subject to overlooking, other times writ bold to gain one’s undivided attention. If one is well prepared, they will be amply rewarded.Joel R. Dennstedt - Author/Editor

Extraordinary
Although the topic is an obscure Indian philosophy, the book reads as the best criminal thriller. Each chapter is full of original insights, all blending in a harmonious whole. The book is read with gratitude because the author doesn’t insult the readers intelligence by filling the pages with empty stereotypical phrases. He constantly grips attention with original insight expressed in a very simple manner. Above all, it is commendable that it provides insight into the human soul in a contemporary manner in a very old work. This is needed today more than ever.

Did not like this book at all
I'm very interested in historically ancient systems of enlightenment, so I was looking forward to this book on a topic that is not well covered in the literature.First of all, I quickly figured out that Samkhya is a Dualistic philosophical system - so no interest to me at all. But that's not the author's fault. I still would have been interested in learning and discovering new knowledge. The writing is what killed it for me. His sentences are rambling - the paragraphs don't go along with the chapter headings, in many cases the paragraphs are disconnected from the sentences around it - endless combinations of big words. He really doesn't explain or teach anything in any type of structured thought process - it's more like he's just talking about things.Obviously, other people loved this book and got a lot out of it - I was excited to get it, but within 10 minutes I started flipping ahead to see if it got any better - but it didn't. I gave my copy to the Goodwill.

Great!
I learned so much and had my mind opened to new possibilities that I'd never even considered before. I highly recommend this book to all those who are out there wanting to expand their horizons.

Historical mistake
Author writes that Sage Kapila is a white man who gave the knowledge of Yoga Sutras to the Hindus "who could not grasp the meaning" and consequently their religion devolved into Hinduism. I am sorry for the White Man's burden the author is carrying, but it is pretty delusional. If Sage Kapila was white, why did the whites not carry forward his messages to eternity, and save us all of humanity?
