First season with these so we will see how they hold up. After a good month of use they are holding up just fine.

These blue pucks get a bad rap since parents think their kids need to be moving the puck like a NHL player. At the younger ages, it more important to learn where the puck is going to be and to react when it gets there. These blue pucks create that chaotic variable by bouncing in way only a physics major could explain. Because their lighter than a regular puck, they also don't hurt (as much) when hit. Also important since most youth equipment isn't made to the higher standard a high level player would need. Overall, very good quality pucks with a very important purpose.

These “pucks” are nothing like the higher quality lightweight pucks. The best way I can describe them is “tacky” which does not allow them to glide the way pucks are supposed to. I bought these so that my kids could practice shooting with lighter pucks than our standard black ones. We have about 10 Howies blue pucks that we use and are great for practice so I wanted to buy more. Because these “pucks” do not have the feel of other pucks, it was a complete waste of money. I am extremely disappointed with this product and they should not be advertised as pucks.Edit: After a couple weeks of use, they seem to be smoother and functioning more like the higher end blue pucks—no longer gripping to the surface as much as they were initially.

Works fine for practice and games. These are regular weight pucks. I like the set a bit tacky but that is coming off with use.
