One Year Strong: My Go-To Hunting Beanie!
I purchased the EDTREK Waterproof and Windproof Camo Beanie over a year ago, and it has become an essential part of my hunting gear. This hat has proven itself time and time again in various weather conditions, keeping me warm and dry during even the harshest outings. The timber and blaze orange camo design is not only stylish but also incredibly functional, making it easy to blend into the surroundings while still ensuring visibility to other hunters. I appreciate the thoughtful design that combines functionality with safety; it’s perfect for my early morning and late evening hunts. The beanie's waterproof material has been a game-changer for me. I remember a day in the field where we got caught in a sudden downpour, and I was completely dry underneath this hat. Windproof properties have also held up impressively, keeping my head warm without any discomfort. After a year of consistent use, there’s barely any wear and tear—just a little fading in color, which is to be expected. The fit is just right—not too tight, but snug enough to stay in place while I’m moving. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This is a durable, reliable hunting hat that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for quality gear!

very warm and comfortable!
I wear this cap all the time, not just for hunting. It does limit my ability to hear clearly when pulled over the ears. I really have no complaints, fits well, hasn't stretched out. It is very warm, where I live temps get down in the negatives.

Great for cooler weather.
Let me start this review off by saying I am from Florida, heading to Arizona for a cold weather hunt. I bought this beanie type hat to deal with the expected temps.Morning temps for scouting and eventual hunting days were in the hi teens and up, some mornings with decent wind/breeze. At no time did my head feel cold, this hat coupled with the windproof balaclava and my hunting jackets hood. Worked great. In other reviews, some mentioned that this hat cut down on hearing ability in your immediate surroundings, yes it did, but in my particular situation was not a detriment. That reduction actually worked in my favor when it came time to pull the trigger, the report from my rifle was reduced enough to take the edge off the report. I made the shot and I believe this hat aided in my success on elk.I would recommend this for those looking for warm headgear for cool weather hunting.Steve Y.

Not perfect but a good hat
Definitely looks a bit like a chefs hat a bit unless you stretch it down over the back of your head. Basically the outer shell is sewn to have a gap above the inner knit part, which I am assuming is on purpose, Maybe the air gap traps warmth? I dunno. But despite sometime looking goofy it's warm and windproof. I assume waterproof too, but haven't had it out in precipitation yet. It circulates air well with the way the inner part is knit sort of in channels, so if you're on the move and sweating its helpfulThe camo is nice, looks good. And it changes your perception of sound a bit, slightly kinda mutes your hearing, but you can still hear everything. It's just different sounding but you get used to it, though as soon as you take it off you notice the difference again. I wear electronic ear muffs over it and can still hear them. The hat is long enough you can pull it well past your ears so the muffs can get a good seal over it.

Keeps You Warm.
I can see how this cap would be too small for many. But for me it fit adequately, but was just bit tight,, but not enough to bother me.. Kept me quite warm.

Good product but could be improved.
Nothing wrong with the finishes but I am a bit surprised with the material, I thought the waterproof exterior side was the type of material used on jackets but here it is a type of very fine fleece actually quite similar to swede. It could be that it is water repelling (and certainly not waterproof which is a term used inaccurately in pretty much every hiking product sold in here) I have not used it yet but it strikes me as the type of product that absorb water more that repels it. On the inside, again a little bit surprised, I was expecting fleece for optimal warmth and comfort but it is more like the old fishermen beanie, polyester yarn that is (not merinos) but at least it is not itchy and it is warm granted the yarn is not as soft and comfortable as fleece due to the knit. Another issue is sound. While it is not waterproof (nothing is per se not even gumboots) it is definitely soundproof. So much so that it felt like wearing my winter neoprene beanie that I use for windsurfing (made of the same neoprene material as wetsuits). So it covers your ears entirely which is great for warmth but there are no holes to let sounds in which makes you absolutely deaf. The only thing I can her is my pulse. So it is not a bad product in any way, just be aware of the above and maybe if someone has tested it under heavy rain, you will know whether it repels it efficiently or not. Last but not least the Large size - maximum size available is quite tight not uncomfortable but tight which means you cannot fit a cap under if that's your thing.
