perfect for travelers who want to save in checked baggage!
First impressions: "this isn't gonna work. I'm gonna have to return these"Final impressions: "it worked!!!"For reference, the pictures show a brown plush body pillow and a large memory foam Bamboo pillow. These are two very large pillows and I always stuff them in my duffel bag when I spend the night places. The dufful can barely fit the two pillows, clothes and toiletries. Im always pulling the two sides of the zipper together so it'll close. These bags are INCREDIBLE! both pillows compressed without any issues. And they're practically flat. They fit easily into my duffel with PLENTY of room to spare. What others have said:In the context of travel, people have claimed that the bags expanded if left overnight before they pack their suitcases. My response to that is whether or not they expand, the only thing that matters when traveling is your ability to fit everything in your suitcase and close it. The bags will not expand in your suitcase because of the force the rest of your luggage exerts on whatever is in these bags. And even if they do expand, your suitcase will be able to contain it. The only thing this may not be good for is long term storage. But I've owned these for about an hour. So I can't speak for that use caseConclusion: this in an incredible product for the price. Especially considering how many bags you get. Perfect if you're going on a long trip but don't want to be burdened with checked baggage. However if you're expecting to pack things and not get them wrinkled, forget it. Use the extra space to pack a travel iron.

These are fantastic
I'm going on a long trip to Europe this Fall and will be in two different climates - one quite warm and one quite cool. What to bring? These bags make it easy to choose - I did a test pack yesterday and was able to fit everything I'll need in both my check-in and carry-on bags. My son (a seasoned world traveler and away for months at a time, and as a result, has become an expert packer) dropped by for a visit while I was doing the test pack and he wanted to know where I had purchased these bags - he uses compressible bags all the time while traveling and believes these Chestnut bags are some of the highest quality he's seen. I'm excited about my trip now and not worried in the slightest about not having room to bring everything I need. I was even able to pack my really good hiking boots which I had assumed I would not have room for. I was also able to pack three separate outfits, underthings and two pairs of shoes in my very small carry-on - so in the event something happens to my luggage en route, I'll be set for a few days. Terrific product.

Creates more suitcase space
Works very well. It was a difficult condensing the last portion of the package, so I alternated the fatter ends when placing in suitcase. I was able to pack TONS more clothing in a small suitcase. Material did not break during first use. I like that the air can be manually removed without a vacuum.

Easy to use, definitely worth it. Compresses clothes well without needing a pump
These worked great. We used them for backpacking in Switzerland. We were able to really compress clothes without having to carry around any sort of pump. Definitely worth it.

Not easy to use but does save space.
For the lightening price I paid they were great. Had I paid full price, I would have not been as happy. They make packing take a lot longer and it is fairly difficult to get the air out and close the bag at the same time, but they do save space. Used these for a snow trip so we had to pack a ton of bulky and heavy weighted clothing and blankets. They fit in my rolling suitcase but I think a large duffle bag would have been easier to pack them in. I had 3 bags in my large suitcase but it barely closed. Not worth the hassle during the warmer months. I do not recommend these for the elderly, sick or injured. You must be able to sit on the bag whilst zippering it up. The zipper is not easy to get right and the zipper pieces come off easily make it so you have to transfer zippers between bags if you lose them during packing. I would definitely elect to use vacuum sealed bags if I know I will have access to a vacuum on my travels.

Packs things in tight, and keeps things separated
I loved that I can pack things into a tighter space. Be mindful that more items means more weight! I just wished it was easier to have the items pack in evenly, because the bag becomes lopsided after rolling. However, not needing a vacuum made tis worth it. I barely needed two suitcases because everything that needed two was condensed into one with the bags. And the other plus is repacking worn undergarments keeps odors separated! Actually, I'm going to give this five stars for that!

Give it a try and pack more with less
I bought the set of bags in 2022, and I have used them now. I still had three large and one medium left so I am using them for our next trip. For 10 10-day trips abroad, I was able to pack for my son three pairs of pants, 5 T-shirts and 2 dress shirts, 1 shark blanket, and 1 light throw blanket (50x60). For my dad: 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts (winter, so they are thicker than others), and 5 pairs of socks. In another bag, I put another shark blanket (which is thicker, adult-size). All of these are for in one 21" carry-on luggage. It saved me space or I would have each set in another luggage. As I am trying to condense and be more practical with the luggage, I recommend these bags. Now, they can last for three or 4 uses when it is not overloaded. Unfortunately, nothing is 100% perfect. The bag can rip itself after several uses. I wish they could last forever. But for sporadic trips, I believe it is a good investment. At least, I am cutting down on a third luggage (on the other, I will pack my clothes, towels, and another blanket).
