Q: How wide of a grommet hole does this mount to?

There are 2 mounting options. One is a clamp with no drilling required. You need to use that on the edge of the desktop. The other requires drilling a 1/4 inch hole in the desktop and using the thru bolt supplied. If you have an exiting hole for a cable grommet I suppose you could use it depending on how big it is.

Thanks for your question, the circle clamp that attaches on the bottom of the desk has a width of 82 mm and a depth of 50 mm. The base of the mount that attaches on the top of the desk has a width of 106.3 mm and a depth of 90.9 mm.
