I would just return the hat and get another one. When I received mine it was in very good shape. There were no bubbles or ripples in it at all. Perhaps you ended up with a used hat which was not packaged with care. This is my guess on the matter.

Yes sir, I do believe so. Because when I received the hat it was large on my medium sized head. Luckily for me, there is an adjustable tie string inside the brim, so I only had to tighten it up if you follow what I'm trying to say. This hat looks like it will fit any size head because it will stretch too also. I hope this helps you out.
