Excellent air purifier and simple to use
Great purchase! I'm writing this review after having this air purifier for 2.5 years. We bought 2 of these. One for home and the other for a barbershop. They work great and we've had no issues. We don't use them all the time, and I wasn't sure how well these cleaned the air until this week. We are experiencing high air quality alerts with allergies and smoke from Canadian fires. I turned this on at home with the ac running and my coughing and allergies were finally relieved. If you have pets, a salon, allergies or kitchen mishaps then this works great and the price is good. The size is compact and esthetically pleasing, easy to move around when wanted, filter quality, brightness and power are excellent, and can turn off the light for sleep with timer options, etc. We have a 1300 sf apartment and a 1000 sf shop and it fulfills our needs perfectly. Just remember to remove the plastic off the inside filter before using it for the first time!

Simply Put: It Just Works.
I bought this product after mulling over so many options for True HEPA and H13 filter units. This one, while pricey, is not as expensive as other options ($500 - $900 and beyond). And basing my decision on the majority of positive reviews (on both Amazon and various external sites) on the Hathaspace HSP002 unit, I took a chance. The reason for me purchasing this item was because I have a child whose allergies are triggered by the slightest things that don't bother the rest of my family. Pet dander (we've got two cats), pollen, dust, and whatnot - it it floats in the air, it'll make him sneeze and cough.Out of the box, it looks fairly sleek and complements my living room furniture. Sure, it's tall, but I've had a big HEPA device before, and so I'm not bothered by its size. Out of the box, I put in the large H13 filter that it came with, plugged it in and set it to auto so that it starts doing its job. I let it clean the air from morning to evening, and it (at auto), it just runs at the lowest setting. I'm very happy that it's incredibly quiet at this setting as too much noise generated would be a big concern for the family. Even at medium speed, it's fairly muffled. At the highest speed, you'll notice it, but the sound is no louder than my ceiling fan at the fastest speed. Overall, it does a great job cleaning the air without too much noise. Also, I look at the device and it shows to fluctuate between a 6 and a 9 every single day (anything above 50 means you have relatively polluted air inside the house). Low numbers. After having this for a month, and running daily from morning to the evening, I have to say that simply put, it just works. How can I tell without hiring some microbial experts to sample my air quality? I look at my child and see how he's doing. Since we've had the device, my child's coughing and sneezing has gradually gone away in a matter of a week of the device doing its job. 4 weeks later, my son doesn't show any signs of allergy suffering. Breathing is normal, no reactions when the pets are near him, no issues with pollen (we've got plenty of indoor plants).I am also aware that the filter has to be replaced every 3-4 months, depending on how often you have it run. I was prepared to shell out the money for the filter (on a recurring basis), so I went to the Hathaspace website and purchased a subscription (quarterly) for them to deliver. $49 per filter (subscription price), for those of you curious.Overall, I am very pleased and very happy with this purchase. It's made a difference for my son, and that's all that matters to me. If a device does what it's supposed to do (and very effectively at that), then I'd say this purchase was well worth the money and then some.

Very nice..quiet and works!
This sets by my chair. I have 4 cats and am amazed at the dust and cat hair caught in filter which is so easy to clean and replace with new one

Doesn't work...Update: figured out WHY it didn't work, a sort of user error
I'm a smoker. The last air purifier that I bought cleared the smoke completely from my 144 sq. ft room in about 15 minutes. I chose this one to replace it because the other brand's filters have gone from $60 per filter to $90 per filter in the last year. This one costs a bit more than the other brand does. It WILL clear the smoke from my room in about 8 hours but only if my fan is also running. However, it did work okay the first day, it's really quiet, and it does help with the smell from the smoke and my dog.UPDATE: I'm changing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars because after I received a refund from this company without any trouble, I bought another brand of air purifier and realized then WHY I had a problem with the Hathaspace air purifier. I thought this might help the company and future customers. The problem wasn't the appliance. When I had the air purifier before this one, we adopted 3 new pets and that air purifier gave up the ghost. I thought it was due to the age of that one, appliances are no longer built to last (on purpose) and I'd had it 2 years. Then I did a lot of research and settled on the Hathaspace. The Hathaspace worked really well for the first day but was useless thereafter. So I thought there was a design defect or something. The real issue is that the increased animals meant feathers, a lot more fur and dander/dust. It took less than 24 hours for the filter to become completely clogged and no air could get through and so the bad air quality didn't register and it didn't kick in to the higher speed. I had the exact same issue with my current air purifier but it took longer to clog because the Hathaspace had already done a fairly thorough cleaning. It took me a bit of problem solving to figure out the problem. Now that I know.... if you have an issue with the machine working great soon after you get it and then rapidly stopping cleaning your air, check your filter. If you can see the dust and fur/feathers, vacuum the filter with a handvac and that'll fix it right up. I recommend vacuuming the pre-filter once per week in between filter changes.I apologize to the company for not figuring out the problem sooner and leaving a poor review through no fault of their own. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it really did take longer than my previous air purifier to filter the air. But I do want to say that the quietness of this product was fantastic and when my current machine, which also struggles a bit with circulating the air, goes out...if the company doesn't raise the price beyond the $200 price point, I would definitely purchase it again.
