Having tried many other 'universal' adapters, this is the first I have used that is really well made, solid, and has real ground pins rather than plastic pins that just bypass any safety locks. Other cheaper options may seem good, but they often fall out when plugged into the wall due to their flimsy design and lack of a true ground pin (which tends to hold the plug into the wall as well). I was able to safely use three-pin plugs throughout my travels without worry. The USB ports are an added plus that turned out really useful whilst travelling too! It may be more expensive than most, but highly worth the added cost.

Handy size and had all of the options needed on our holiday.Great to be able to plug in and charge a few different pieces of kit at the same time.Good value.

I bought this as an emergency fail-safe.We always buy cheap adapters for the country we’re visiting. In this case, MX (Riviera Maya). However, I wanted to invest in something that would ‘save us’ in the event of our cheap adapters not working, breaking, or failing, no matter where we were.This fit the bill perfectly, and is great quality to boot.In fact, once we got there.. we pretty much abandoned our other adapters in favour of this one.. with the included USB ports, there’s really no need to carry anything else. I bought some USB to USB-C female adapters, and we now have this travel adapter with 3 USB-C outputs, and a socket.. what more could you need? Charge your phones, tablets etc.My only gripes are that the mechanism for extending the pins is a little stiff, and trying to get a socket in the front of this can be a little challenging since the ‘gates’ that protect the internal terminals are rather stiff too.However, the quality is excellent, and the product is faultless. I don’t doubt this will last us many years, and we may end up buying a few more. After all.. why buy anything else?

I’m currently using the plug in Japan. It’s holding in the socket fine, I was a little concerned that it might drop out as the plug is quite heavy and the two flat pins they use in Japan (and the US) are pretty unstable at the best of times, but it’s solid. So all good. It’s currently charging my watch, iPad and iPhone without a problem. So I’m more than happy with it so far. The only slight negative is that I could not get my UK Apple plug to go in the multi plug socket on the front, no matter how hard I tried to push it in. However I can plug the leads directly into the USB sockets so it isn’t a big issue, other plugs went in fine which was more important.The only other comment I would make is that for future design releases it would be more useful to have two USB-C sockets and one USB-A rather than the current configuration.

Actually bought this and the unearthed version but so far they`ve only been used by my daughter and her husband. So far it`s had a short trip to Norway and a road trip from New York to New Orleans so been very well used in a number of sockets. It seems to be very well made and very easy to use with a smooth slide action. They found the different USB ports very handy indeed. Finally getting to use them ourselves next month on a trip to France. Obviously slightly more expensive than some of the others available, but I think well worth the extra for the build quality and safety.

Got this for a trip to the US - worked well with no issues and will be using it again in the EU later this year, the USB connections were an added bonus and one of the reasons why we got this. Would definitely recommend.

This has replaced my various assortment of travel plugs and adapters. It is very solid, the materials are high quality and its built-in USB sockets mean I don’t need to carry USB plugs either. I like the design that the plug pins retract when not in use and will lock when in use (so they don’t get pushed back up into the body).Due to its multi-functional nature, it is larger and heavier than your average adapter. So if the socket is located where space is limited then you might not have room to plug this in. Also, due to its weight, I have found that depending on the style/quality of the socket it’s being plugged into, it does wobble a bit and may need additional support from something like a book so that it doesn’t fall out of the socket (in my experience, US sockets seem to cause the most problems). But the positives definitely outweigh the small negatives, so for me this is an invaluable travel accessory.
