Did the job increased Wif Fi signal.
I have a Sim only Router that pulls about 200-280 average on 5G. It is placed about 4 metres away from my computer through a wall. Using a standard mini USB dongle I was getting 10-35 MBPS with that, and disconnections and drop outs all the time. I bought this, I now get 200-250 MBPS, it's that simple. Still drops off on a connection sometimes but instantly comes back on instantly on refreshes. Does the job and worth the price. The magnetic base is great. Stuck a disc magnet to the wall and it sits nicely. Very much a solid build with hefty cable, although a slightly longer cable would have been more advantageous. Well built and functioning product.

Very good
Bought a pc & tried a tp link internet dongle and it did not work. Tried this one and it works like a charm. Plug and play very easy & worth the money.

Drops wifi at random
Bought this six /seven months ago due to changing Provider to get full broadband. Ran this on Windows 10 and now Windows 11. Works well and holds a connection, but has the tendancy to just drop the connection. Can happen after 20 mins or after an hour or so, it rather random, but staying connected can be a chore. It is possible that the issue here is the driver. It doesn't have a company driver but uses the standard realtek driver, which can be downloaded from their website. I personally get the best performance from just letting windows install it's driver from windows update

Internet dongle
Works very well on my windows 11 PC .and is also has a wps button on it. and it is magnetic bace on it . It is also USB 3.the signal strength is also very good cable length is 39 inches from plug to plug.

rubbish simple as that
i don't like doing bad reviews but feel i have to . avoid this peace of rubbish like the plague. ive had it a few days it cant hold a signal for more then a few mins . ive ended up putting my old one back on . i can understand lag and signal problems during harsh weather but today should not be dropping .save your money get something better.

Promising Features, Disappointing Performance
The WAVLINK AC1900 USB WiFi Dongle impresses on paper with dual-band connectivity and a theoretical 1300Mbps speed on the 5GHz band. It also offers added benefits like extensive coverage from high-gain antennas and WiFi hotspot capabilities. Despite these promising features, the actual performance fell short. The highest speed displayed in Windows settings for the AC band was just 866Mbps, suggesting it might be using the older 802.11ac Wave 1 standard, not the more advanced Wave 2 which my WiFi 6 router supports and can handle higher speeds. Real-world speeds were significantly lower, not exceeding 350Mbps on my 1Gbps connection, regardless of VPN on or off. The speed discrepancy is particularly concerning given the price point of this device. Such a gap between expected and actual performance is too significant to ignore. Rating: 3/5 stars.
