didn't work
This card prevented my PC booting up if I put it in while the PC was off. Putting it in whilst working (an option with PCI, caused an error message). The only applicable thing in the trouble shooting options in the instructions was pull it out and wipe the connectors! Which I did, to no avail...

Mac Pro 5,1 Using for Oculus Quest V2 (Updated Review)
Bought this to link my Oculus Quest with my Mac Pro 5,1 since those old Macs didn't come with USB-C. This card installed easily with no software or drivers needed. The Mac recognized it right away. I use my Oculus on Bootcamp and Windows 10 also didn't require drivers or anything at all. I just plugged my Link Cable and my Oculus was immediately recognized at 1.8Gbps. This card is well worth the money. If you're an old Mac user like me, it's yet another device we can use to squeeze more time out of these. By the way, my Mac Pro is the old Chees Grater one from 2009. I flashed it from 4,1 to 5,1 and I'm still using it to play the latest games. This card now allows me to use it to fly MSFS 2020 in VR, which plays well because of this card.Edit: Sorry to say that I had to return it. This will not charge the Oculus Quest 2. So, if you're buying this for the Oculus Quest 2 then try something else. The battery on the Quest drained out while I was using it and had it plugged in to this card. I reduced the rating to 3 stars.

Two cards, two DOA. Wasted a lot of my time.
Bought this to connect to a USB-C header on my new PC case. First unit arrived in three days. Upon installing, PC would power on but would not POST... just a black screen.Amazon sent a replacement several days later, and it arrived today. PC won't POST. At least they are consistent.... none are good.

Had to bend adapter bracket to fit case
Been building PCs for 29 years. Based on my experience and the polarized reviews for this Sinefine adapter, I recommend you look at another brand.I bought this because 1> my mobo doesn't have the Type E header for my case's USB-C port, and 2> my Oculus Quest 2 USB-C cable was too thick to fully seat in my mobo's USB-C port (sigh), and 3> because I wanted a black adapter. I regret it.First thing I found with this adapter... If I fully inserted the card into a PCIe slot, it was roughly 7-10mm too far from the case to secure it with a screw. I verified this in multiple slots. Aligning the screw hole meant the card pulled out from the PCIe slot and wasn't detected by the mobo. I had to bend the top and bottom of the adapter bracket to get it both secured and fully inserted into the PCIe slot - leaving a gap between the case and adapter in the bracket's middle area. Thank goodness I don't have to look at it.Also, inserting the case Type-E A-key cable into he adapter required a disturbing amount of force. I thought I was going to break the adapter, and it still didn't fully seat until the second try.Like others have said, it does NOT charge a Quest 2 headset while playing.***FINAL WORD***+ Rapid charges my Pixel 6+ Fat USB-C cables fit perfectly thanks to widely spaced ports+ Works out of the box w/o drivers (Win 10/11)- Doesn't charge Quest 2 while playing (but does in standby)- Required alarming force to insert A-key cable into internal type-E port- Required bending to fit case - first time fore everything***SUMMARY***Works well enough to keep, but I won't buy again and I don't recommend you buy it either.

Card is detected but USB-C ports are not working
The card is detected as a USB controller and the internal USB-A works but the USB-C ports are not working. I tested both my docking station (which works with my Mac and on other systems) and my phone charger and neither work for data or power in any port. Tested with and without drivers on both Windows and Linux. I don't have any other USB-C devices to test with. I suspect that either this card doesn't support USB-C power delivery properly, or the card/ports are just defective.
