Not sure yet and will update....
I'll start by saying I gave these a 5 star review based on price and the fact that I know many people only read the 5 and 1 star reviews. There is also something I love very much about these. I'll get to that in a minute...My hearing has been damaged through performing in loud R&R bands for decades without any hearing protection. I also have tinnitus that for several years bordered on being unbearable, but I've learned to manage it. My day job is in a HS, and hearing kids in the classroom has become increasingly difficult.5 or 6 yrs ago I threw the towel in, went to an audiologist and invested $4500 in hearing aids. After many visits and hours tweaking them with the audiologist and manufacturer, all they really did was make everything sound crispy. They didn't help me to hear my TV and better, nor students in the classroom. I took a $400 hit and returned them.Tried again 2 years ago with the top of the line Eargos, which cost me $2500. Great support! Great company! Lots of control over the devices. But my experience was the same as with the $4500. They didn't make me hear any better. Just crispier, and made everything sound uncomfortably weird.I decided I might as well have a go at something less expensive, and I'm took a gamble on these. The great news? They work! I can hear kids in the classroom and TV better. They hone right in what needs to be heard, and its pretty awesome! The best way I can describe the difference is that when I put them it, the sound change reminds me of when I take earplugs out. Everything just opens up. I don't get that annoying crispy sound those other companies couldn't dial out. I just hear voices more clearly. Sadly, that's about where the good news ends....They advertise these as having no feedback, and that is a bold faced lie. They feedback like nobody's business, especially when putting them in. I had to lower the volume considerably to not have them feedback in while wearing them, and that's working out OK. It still is however a nightmare to put them in. If you have tinnitus and understand how it can be set off, you can understand why this is a problem. If these were made so that you could put them in and then turn them on it would be a GREAT improvement, but till then, its tough going.I found too that the perfect angle must be found. Put them in too deeply and things get weird sounding. Allow a tiny bit of breathing room and a comfortable fit, and they're great.Last note on the negatives is that they are no invisible. Not by a long shot. From the front you can't notice them. From the side, you can't NOT notice them. Why they don't make them in black, or a darker color is odd to me. I think they'd be less noticeable if so. But whatever. The Eargos were far less noticeable, but I almost couldn't get those out a couple of times.Where I'm at right now: I'm having trouble wearing both at the same time because I'm not completely used to them, and one always either works its way out of my ear or starts whistling. Wearing just one makes a difference though, so its working for me like that. I plan to try different size tips and practice putting them in so that they function at their best. If I can get them to stay fit comfortably without having to play with them and cause feedback, these things will be gold to me. If I can't, I may return them. Just hoping I keep up with the return deal they have. I'm not sure if its different purchased here or direct. FWIW, the price winds up being the same if you have Amazon prime. Delivery with the discount on their site comes out to just a few dollars less, and there's a longer wait. We'll see how this goes, and I'll do my best to update.

Audien Hearing is unresponsive to my return package.
On June 10, 2023, I purchased Audien ATOM PRO Wireless Rechargeable Hearing Amplifier and an EV3 Accessories Kit from the Audien Hearing Store on amazon.com for $258 (not including taxes and shipping). They arrived on June 13. Unfortunately, they were much too large for my wife's small ears, so I decided it would be appropriate to use their money back guarantee. My wife contacted Audien Hearing via phone on June 15 and received instructions from a male support person to return the items to their Scottsdale, Arizona address, making sure the amazon.com order number was included. The package was shipped back on June 16 at my expense ($16.53) so Audien Hearing would not have to pay for return shipping. It included the amazon.com order number (as instructed) and was sent to Audien Hearing's address in Scottsdale, Arizona as given to my wife on the phone. It was delivered by FedEx on June 20, 2023 at 1:15 PM. After a month of no communication from Audien Hearing, I sent follow-up emails on July 24 and July 27 to Audien Hearing Support, documenting the order and return with FedEx tracking. I received no response. On August 21, 2023, I emailed Audien Hearing's support, warning of my intention to report the issue to the Better Business Bureau. There was no response. Why has there been (1) no response to the returned merchandise in spite of the fact that my wife was told it would be OK to send it directly to them, making sure to use the address given to her on the phone and making sure the amazon.com order number was included, (2) no response to the first follow-up email, (3) no response to the second follow-up email, (4) and no response to the third follow-up email? The empirical evidence here (four no responses) strongly suggests the hypothesis that Audien Hearing is betting that I will eventually give up, go away, and no longer seek a refund using their money back guarantee. All of this has been an extremely unplesant experience. I should have noted their B rating from the BBB before ordering.October 31, 2023 update:After my October 16, 2023 review appeared on amazon.com, I received a full and complete refund from Amazon on October 31, 2023. I now consider the case closed.

Work Ok
things sound a bit tinny but they do help. For non prescription hearing aids they are pretty good. upgrading to 4 stars because the price makes them worth it if you aren't willing to pay for perscription hearing aids.

Tendency to fall out....
The Atom Pro are easy to operate, charge well and last all day. Ear domes were easy to switch and fit, I ended up with a different size in each ear. Tend to fall out or at the least, come loose, while eating so I became conscious of checking on them more often. No noise cancellation that I can tell. Comparing them to an over the ear set which I can definitely hear a change in the sound when running water while in the normal setting and also eliminates clock ticking sounds when I switch to the next mode up for groups of people and restaurants etc. Also be prepared for the loud sound of your voice in your head with these, I guess you get used to it over time, but ugh. The behind the ear set felt more comfortable in my ears but came with a totally different sound of my voice in my head, tinny and an echo. Also, the screwdriver volume adjustment is annoying as these aids don't adjust to an incoming volume so you're stuck with what it's set at unless you want to be adjusting the volume depending on your surroundings. Other types that have different environment modes and a button to adjust mode and volume as needed are much more handy. I did not have issues with any feedback or clicking, from what I've read, this is an issue with fit and seating the hearing amplifier correctly in your ear. If you want simple, these are the way to go, but don't have some of the better features that I seem to need.
