Amazing for my 2018 Wrx!!!
The shine of this tint is near glossy. So nice! I will say though, the pictures are deceiving. I was hoping this was a bit darker. It’s probably somewhere around a 35-45% tint. So, not very dark at all. I will say though, the color of this tint is TRULY grey. I love it. A few days prior, I bought the premium Auto style tint for my headlights, tailights, and front lower turn signals...and that film was hazy satin/matte, and is was a yellowish brown hue of dark grey/black. It was disgusting. Instead, I was turned onto this vvivid tint by a youtuber, and am so very happy with the quality of this product. The color is great, I was able to do this dry with zero bubble! My fiancé was my helping hand, and I owe it to her for keeping this bubble free by pulling on the two corners as I slowly worked my way around every nook and cranny. It took to heat well. Don’t get too close, or stay in one area to long to avoid burning a hole through. I was able to order 2 kits of this, and was able to get enough to tint my headlights, tailights, and lower turn signals in the front. I was amazed at how shiny these sheened once I finished and stepped back to look. I am so happy. Suggestion, make this medium smoke tint just a tad bit darker. Maybe like 25-30%. Just slightly darker than the percent that it comes now, but obviously lighter than the dark tint kit you sell. Regardless, I’m amazed at the easy of use to apply, and the quality and shine of the finished product!!

For folks who have never wrapped before, read this review…
Tint is Dark SmokeThis product is amazing for the price. The quality is phenomenal and it is relatively easy to work with, even for those who have not wrapped before. However, this is the second time I have used this tint, and even with my first inexperienced attempt, it still turned out decent. Prior to my first attempt, the only experience I’ve had wrapping is through YouTube videos. It was a very difficult and lengthy process, and that unfortunately is just a byproduct of learning. You will be frustrated, you will overstretch, you will have creases, but what I love so much about this wrap is that it is very forgiving.Words of wisdom, remove your tail lights if possible. It makes the process so much easier and more comfortable as it allows you to work inside in cooler/warmer areas. Heat gun is a necessity, a hair dryer doesn’t have enough heat to properly heat the wrap and will cause creases everywhere and make it very difficult to shape. Also invest in a cheap wrapping kit through Amazon. The utility knives and cloth squeegees are so nice to have and will save your hands and fingers from sores.Overall, this is a wonderful wrap and I highly recommend to all beginners looking to tint their tail lights for the first time. Don’t be afraid to mess up, just go for it!

Used to Be Great
I bought some of this back in 2018 and it worked great. It's been on the car since then without any issues whatsoever. When I ordered this again in 2024 it hardly lasted a week before it started peeling and coming up, I thought it was a fluke or I applied at the wrong temperature (2018 application was done in summer) so I reordered and applied it again when it was 70 degrees out. That wrap lasted a month before it's coming back up. This is a pretty good test case since I used the same application and cleaning method for all three applications (across two cars) and the vehicles are almost identical (mk7 golf/gti), with the taillights being exactly the same across the two.I've attached photos of both the 2018 and 2024 wraps as they stand currently. You can see that with the old film it's even stayed attached in the groves and ridges of the fixture, as well as remained stuck to the perimeter, where the 2024 failed in both respects.Needless to say whatever formulation change they've made since then has resulted in worse adhesion and I wouldn't recommend the product unless it's needed for a very temporary application.

Stuff stretches nicely for any shape. Heat gun probably required for complex shapes/curves.
Dark black made my car look nice and mean, but way too dark overall. Light output seemed decent at night, but hard to see during the day. I'd easily (and constantly) get pulled over in San Francisco, CA. Smoke seems like a good compromise, though I wish it was a tad darker. Light output was much better, and still looks better than the bright red stock color. So much easier to work with than normal, thin, brittle tints. I was able to stretch it pretty far to wrap the the complex compound curves of my lights. There are some faint lines from where I had to reposition and reheat, but hoping those will go away and self-heal with some time under the sun. Time will tell. A heat gun is necessary for a good install. Not sure a hairdryer would warm up enough of the material fast enough to be effective.I left another review for the dark black, and packaging/shipping seems to be an ongoing issue, which is unfortunate since the products are shipped and sold by Vvivid. The dark black came smashed and creased. Was still able to apply it, but the tiny creases were still visible after install. The smoke (got 3 rolls total on 2 different occasions), have some adhesive residue on the first few inches of the roll that we're almost impossible to get out and would make installing more difficult. Luckily the rolls we're long enough for me to trim off that portion and still have enough to do 2 lights.Like I said before, love the product, but fixing the packaging/shipping would probably solve more than half the complaints I see on Amazon. Rolling the material around nice stiff tube would help, but for the price and overall quality, it's hard to complain too much.
