Very sturdy and secure. Easy to use and the lock mechanism is very handy. Excellent quality and value for money.

Easy to set up, works great. Wanted a stair gate for top of stairs suitable for senior dog as he spends time upstairs when we are at work and stairs are tricky for him now. The no bar across the bottom means less of a hazard. The turn lock gives more sturdiness to lock gate on so if tiny paws or small child leant against it creates no give. Also much quieter than metal click of gate

Overall, I'm quite pleased with the Wodondog Retractable Stair Gate. It serves its purpose well, providing an extra layer of safety for both my baby and my pet. The gate's extra width of 150cm and height of 86cm is perfect for larger openings and taller pets, giving me peace of mind knowing that they're secure.The retractable feature is particularly convenient, allowing me to easily open and close the gate with one hand when needed. Installation was also relatively straightforward, and I appreciate the flexibility it offers in terms of positioning.However, the only downside I've encountered is that the gate doesn't hold up as securely on dry walls, especially if my child is being particularly persistent and tries to pull on it constantly. In such cases, it may not provide the level of sturdiness I'd like.Despite this minor issue, I still find the Wodondog Retractable Stair Gate to be useful. It's durable, functional, and provides an added layer of safety where I need it most. If you have solid walls or are looking for a gate primarily for pets, I would highly recommend it but not great for kids

Well made and easy to install, time will be the factor as it has been purchased to contain our jack russell during recovery from major surgery.If I had any doubts - a large or jumpy dog I’m not sure if this would work

This was purchased to stop the dog from going downstairs and eating the cat food at night and it works a treat! The cats can easily sneak under the bottom so they aren't trapped by it at all.The dog now won't lie on her bed until the gate is shut as she's decided that it is only bedtime when it's closed :)I was worried the cats would use it as a scratching post especially when the gate is open but so far they haven't bothered with it.It seems to still be retracting as it should and sometimes it rolls in a bit squiff but I've found that just pulling up the handle a little straightens it out so hopefully we won't have any future issues. It came with another set of hooks and fittings so we could move it to another location if needed.Really happy with the purchase and glad it works!

I don't usually review a product for at least 3 months but I recieved this today and it took me 5 minutes to install it with just a screwdriver, ideally the screws could be a bit longer but that's easily fixed, the brackets need screwing into a solid structure like a wall stud (which I did) you get a second set of brackets so this can be used in more than one room, the actual gate is easily released from the installed brackets, bought this to restrict access from the kitchen for a new puppy when he gets wet in the garden, and it works, he can't get underneath it even though it's a mesh gate, I would recommend this if you don't want gates in every doorway

Even with the material pulled tight and with the lock on it's flimsy enough that the dog can still get underneath. It's actually a bit dangerous as before she realised how to get through completely she got stuck a few times with her neck pinned against the floor.

Initially delighted by this retractable stairgate to keep out new puppy contained in the kitchen area or the house at night, or when the door goes, but when locked so it’s taught, there is enough five for a large 9 week old puppy to wriggle under it with ease, and she’ll keep doing so until she’s too big. By when we probably won’t need it.Not sure what to replace it with, we spent money having it installed by a handyman and redecorating the wall. And having had it over a month we now can’t return it either.Its impossible to bit it completely flushed to the floor as there is a gap between the mesh and base, although we fixed the base flat to the floor.
