Canson XL Series Newsprint Paper, Foldover Pad, 9x12 inches, 100 Sheets (30lb/49g) - Artist Paper for Adults and Students

I go to a lot of figure drawing meetups and wanted a smaller sketch pad. I normally use a very large pad but it's not always practical. And for quick warm up sketches I often don't want to use my nicer paper. The newspaper is a good quality and is a strong as you would expect newspaper to be. It obviously rips easier than regular drawing paper. Its a good thickness and I don't worry about going through the paper with an eraser. The size is nice if I get a sketch that I feel is good enough to matte and sell. The price is very affordable and the paper gets this cool vintage darkened patina after its exposed to regular light after a few weeks. I like it but for some that could be a downside.

First time trying the newspaper canson pad is 30lb weight very thin paper yet it takes a beating well especially having to erase much it held up without ripping used elegant writer they bled through a little the sharpie and sakura glazed did not bleed thorough the paper very pleased with this thin paper

This paper is great for graphite, contè and charcoal, any dry media. Excellent choice for students or practice. Canson is a brand i trust and I've never had issues with it.Do not be disappointed in the color, thickness or qaility of the paper. The paper is thin and not bleached white because it's news print (the same type for news paper). I use it for practice with vine charcoal and it meets every expectation.

Easy to transport to class. Does not fall apart like the larger size.

What is not to like about newsprint for drawing with charcoal? It rocks.

These are slightly bigger than I needed for the easel for my granddaughter to color on. They are great for our purposes and cheaper than alternatives were.

Good quality newsprint paper. As expected. Perfect for my craft.
