I needed a new little metal sharpener and this one was ten bucks, but the reviews were good. It’s surprisingly heavy for such a small object, it has an actual heft to it, and I like the pretty gold color. It sharpened very smoothly and made a nice sharp point on my white charcoal pencil. These things have finicky leads and my old sharpener would take several tries to get it sharp without breaking off and having to dig the broken lead out. Very pleased with this purchase.

Great sharper that feels will last longer than 6 uses. Previously purchased an inexpensive sharpener that only last 5-6 uses; it was definitely china made. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any American made sharpener. This one is made in Germany and is great quality

I purchased a similar small brass pencil sharpener some time ago and misplaced it. This looks and feels just like my previous one except this has both the standard pencil size as well as larger pencil sharpener. It’s small but has a nice heft in my hand. Very sharp, sharpens cleanly without shredding the wood of the pencil. Only drawback is one has to sharpen over a waste basket but other than that it’s fine.

I tried this sharpener on 5 different colored pencils. Worked brilliantly. I will be getting the entire set .

I use this for my Prismacolor, Polychromos and KALOUR color pencils and it gives a clean, sharp point with no breakage or waste. It didn't come with a container, so I keep it in a plastic 2 3/4 inch diameter plastic jar cover, and put sticky cork on the bottom to keep it smooth so it won't scratch my desk, or slip around.

A Heavy brass pencil sharpener that I keep out on my desk at all times. Effective at sharpener two sizes of pencils and lovely to look at. I love the heavy feel in my hand as well.

This is a really great manual sharpener. Doesn't break the lead, sharpens easily and cleanly with a perfect point. I used to have one that came from Germany, misplaced it, and couldn't find one as good until now. Highly recommend!
