Fun and versatile!
This game is a lot of fun and easy to take anywhere. I've played it in groups of 4 (two vs two) up to groups of 20 (10 vs 10). It's trivia-based but anyone can play it.It reminds me a little bit of Outburst from my childhood, but without so much noise and shouting:) The purpose of the game is for each team to go back and forth responding to a trivia question, which becomes more challenging as the obvious answers are narrowed out.I use this in my classroom, with family, and at group events. I even took it on an airplane ride for a group travel excursion but someone pointed out that we shouldn't discuss shoot-outs so much at an airport. Haha. Highly recommend.

Really good quiz game. Good speed, fun concept.
We do a trivia night every week as a family. We go out to dinner and play a trivia game. This is probably the most fun trivia game we have done yet. The questions are set up so that our 8 year old can answer many of them, as they are things like "Name the top brands of soda" or something. What is nice is that the game play is a little slower, so you're not burning through cards every minute. This means you get a little more bang for your buck, because the game lasts a little longer. We really enjoy this game. If there were a second release, we'd buy it.

Fun and educational
My family and I enjoy this game. We get to test how well we know the world and learn about it along the way.

Really fun
Bought it as a white elephant gift, but it turned out to be really fun to play. Simple rules and the questions are general enough that you can BS your way through them if needed. It's almost like Family Feud where you have to give the top answers to a question but the answer can only be used once. The instructions say to play on teams, but we play individually and just take turns as the question reader and sitting out that round.

Very fun game for a group!
Love this game! I got it at Target for my husband a few years back, and we love playing it with a group! Played with my in-laws a few months back, and my MIL always asks me to bring it over. She said she kept looking for it at Target but they don’t have it anymore. So I bought it for her here! Very happy with it.

Wrong version sent
The game itself is awesome but I keep getting the older version when I order the newer version with new questions. I received the older version, returned it, had a replacement order sent, and still received the older version.

Original and lots of fun
I love Trivia games, but it is sometimes hard to play because they get too intense and I am far from being smart. This game is great to play in teams, questions are original and really fun. Really easy to learn and can last for a good hour in a bigger group. Highly recommended!

Great party game - takes less than a minute to explain
I ordered Mr Lister’s Quiz Shootout (MLQS from now on) along with the rather fantastic Qwordie a couple of weeks ago and have been delighted with it. I’ve played it with groups from 5-25 people. As explained in my review of Qwordie, I run a boardgames club at a boys secondary school (ages 11-16). The responses have been overwhelmingly positive. In MLQS you have as many teams as you like and you fire off questions such as: What are the ingredients in a Big Mac?Teams list everything they can think of and then take turns to give an answer at a time. Wrong answers or blanks get you eliminated. Certain answers are golden as they are more obscure eg McD’s special sauce.Once all the answers are given, any remaining teams or golden answer givers go through to the Shootout Round: Generally a guesstimate question eg How many Big Macs did McD’s sell in 2014? Closest answer wins! You win a card which has a bottle on the back and the goal is to win 3 different bottles to win the whole game. It’s simple, it takes seconds to explain and players can drop in and out of teams at will: we even ended up with 2 big teams and used the Shootout question as a double or nothing round for cards and points.I’ve even started using it at the start or end of lessons to focus students. Quite simply: they love it!

Great family game
We played in pairs, which makes it easier to include children younger than the suggested 14 years old. Easy to play from 10 years up or so. They might not know any Beatles records, but they will know birds and crisps. We enjoyed it for an hour or so round the Christmas table. We also managed to slide the cards down to read the question underneath without revealing the answers, so the question master could take part in the game too (apart from the shoot out question....). Happy with purchase, would definitely recommend

Such a simple but fantastic game!
Such a simple but fantastic game! Having never heard of Mr Lister, I thought it was worth a punt for ÂŁ15...I wasn't disappointed! The game can easily be played as individuals or teams (we played as 6 teams of pairs with one quiz master). The questions are all current (some referencing 2015) and are all suited to the UK (no random American questions). The majority of the question cards really got the competitiveness going and were all pitched at just the right level (not University challenge). The idea of the golden answers also built the suspense when going around the group, and encourages people to give more alternative answers rather than just going for the easy ones. All in all a great party game that can last for as long as you want it to (just decide how many cards the winner needs to collect). Highly recommended

Small, portable, good variety - family favourite
The game consists mainly of small cards which make it portable and easy to store. Questions vary in theme and topic, and if children are joining in it's easy to use the more general subjects eg name the top 10 UK favourite fruits, or popular baby boy names of 2014. More difficult questions include naming last 12 UK prime ministers or busiest UK airports. Something for everyone - we find our family reaching for this game more than others because it's simple to learn and fun to play.
