Q: since these are rated at 600 lbs clamp force, would I still need the screw handle F clamps (at least for the 6-24 in clamps)?

IMO… similar function to the F style but I still think you can exert more pressure with a screw handle. I got these to supplement my K body clamps in a large glue up for cauls, etc. And I got this model thinking the heavy duty clamp would last longer not that it would enable me to exert more clamping pressure.

It would, provided there is a large enough area around the edge for the jaws of the clamps to grab and hold. These are great clamps.
