I bought a pop up sink waste from a chain DIY store a few years ago and it seems that this part only lasts a couple of years before getting stuck in the down position. When this happened the first time I returned to the same DIY store and bought a whole new waste just to harvest this part. However when that one failed a few days ago I realised I could buy just the part from here for more than half the price of the entire waste, and saving me from wasting a bunch of unused parts. These ones are lower quality than original - the threads in particular were a bit of a mess - but it's an otherwise identical part. Screwed in just fine and the plug operates perfectly. I fully expect this one to fail sometime in the next year or two, but at least I've now got a spare waiting.

Prompt delivery. Fits as expected. Works well. Cannot rates its longevity as it has only been in a couple of days.

The item is a little lighter than the original it replaces, but is easy to fit and it works. Let's see if it lasts as long as the old one.

Very rapid service and very easy to use.MUCH cheaper than getting a plumber in to doit.Useful tip-as the screw kin part of old clack has been in some time-put plenty of WD40around screw area,leave for 3 hours and then unscrew ANTICLOCKWISE !!! Pliers give goodgrip and do not worry if brass gives a bit.Once turning then very easy to get out and fit new one.Nice piece of kit.Thanks

Seem to be slightly different to originals with affect that water runs away slower.

5 years on from my bathroom having been refurbished, the pop up plug finally gave out.Exploring Youtube I found that it was just the spring loaded barrel that needed some attention and that with a bit of cleaning and the application of waterproof grease, the original barrel would be as good as new...but then, checking Amazon, £4.99 was the cost of TWO replacement barrels therefore a no-brainer to go for this rather than the "fix it" alternative. And, am I glad that I decided upon the replacement because when I came to removing the original barrel, I discovered the thing broken, so it was just a simple matter of removing it and replacing with the brand new barrel, which was a simple task taking just a matter of a couple of minutes in total.The only thing that I would comment on though is the short screw thread at the top of the barrel (where the plug itself connects) meaning that the plug only just makes a secure connection. But apart from that, the thing works beautifully and I have a replacement sitting in my work bench for whenever I need it too.Moreover, and the good news is, I didn't need to spend £5 on a tub of waterproof grease which, as it turned out would have been superfluous to requirement had I gone down the "fix it" route!Bonus!!

Now the sink plugs pop up as they should.

Unfortunately both of these I ordered have snapped in a matter of weeks . I have instead had to buy a whole set British made that is actual brass and much more solid. Don’t waste your money I will now be requesting a refund
