Wonderful quality. The maron glace were as good as I remembered and were a birthday treat for myself. Taste delicious. We'll worth the price. The packaging looked lovely. Nice sized portions.

Having tried several brands over the years, I am delighted to have finally found marrons glacés that taste as they should. They are very expensive but as a luxury treat a very well worth it delicious delight! Only problem is how to make them last!

I love this brand usually. Their sweets are delicious and so pretty. These however are a bland mush.

Hand made and delicious

I love chestnuts, and adore marrons glacés, so when I saw this tin reduced to half price at £13.50 I couldn't resist the temptation!They're beautifully packed in molded plastic protective casing inside a sealed foil bag, and then in a pretty tin which will be useful long after the marrons are merely a memory! The marrons are a similar size to those I've had before, and looked the same too, nicely glacéd (is that a word?) and as sticky as you might expect. The texture is also just as I expected, with the mealy texture of the nut and occasional slight crystalline element of the sugar. However, the flavour was unlike any marrons glacés I've had before. The usual chestnutty taste is overwhelmed by the vanilla, making it quite a different sweet, although similarly delicious as long as you like vanilla. I once had marrons glacés that had picked up the flavour of the crystallised ginger they had been packed with, and the ginger flavour similarly drowned out the chestnut flavour. So: would I buy them again? At this price, certainly! I would prefer a version without the vanilla too, though.
