I have been using the LeafLife Tumbler for awhile now and liked it. Before buying, I’ve read a few bad reviews talking about the LeafLife Tumblr having a metallic smell. As someone working in the stainless-steel industry, I feel the need to speak up for them. It is PERFECTLY NORMAL that S18/8 (#304) stainless steel would have some smell at the beginning. Although it might seem harmful drinking out of something like that, it is really not. In fact, all kitchen stainless steel wares have this. Here’s the fastest way to clean and rid your tumbler or any other stainless steel things of this odor.1. Fill bottle with water and vinegar and let it sit overnight2. Pour half liquid away and put a few tablespoons of baking soda into the tumbler.3. DO NOT SHAKE, just do a tornado slowly.4. Pour away and use a bottle brush or toothbrush to scrub.Using a stainless steel bottle is in fact the cleanest and safest. I’ve been using stainless steel bottles for the longest time, I’ve tried Klean Kanteen, Hydroflask, Yeti and they were all great. LeafLife Tumbler is not that much different only that it stands out because of the super unique bamboo coat. I actually accidentally dropped it and it cracked on the bottom (picture shown) – from the way it cracked, it’s definitely real bamboo. My heart broke a little but I’m still using it.Insulation properties are comparable to Thermos. However, keeping hot beverages hot for up to 12 hours may be exaggerating. For me, it’s around 6 to 8 hours which is already very impressive. I also noticed it is a little on the heavier side so if weight is a concern for you, it might be best to skip this.I’m loving my tumbler and I would highly recommend this. Very special and great quality.

The loose leaf tea thermos is an ingenious invention! I bought 2 of these for my son and daughter in law and i enjoyed the excitement and adoration that they expressed. So far so good as for ease of use and the wood grain aesthetic sets it apart ! Holds temperature well .... You gotta get this for aNy tea-lovers in your life! If the company doesn't raise the price , you'll be very lucky as am i to have made this sound purchase. Dear Amazon, please don't raise the price!!

This is by far by favorite tumbler with a tea infuser & strainer! I've tried many and this wins my heart! It's a versatile piece - I can use it for hot and cold, coffee or tea. Because it's stainless steel walled, there is never any lingering taste from the previous drink. Drinks stay the temperature you want them to ALL DAY and more. The design is minimalist, sleek and simply beautiful. The stainless steel mesh infuser and strainer are perfect for even the finest ground tea and coffee beans. Yes- I've even made my own cold brew and regular hot coffee with this beauty! The tumbler is also perfect for water. The quality is so obviously great all around. I have zero suggestions to improve this tumbler. To top it off, the price point is extremely fair - it's worth every penny of the $18 it costs... It's the best!

I own/owned a competing, similarly-priced brand of tea infuser, and I loved it so much that when the first one finally broke after many years, I decided to wrap the second one in cotton wool and save it for home use, and purchased this one for outside / outdoor use, knowing that the bamboo would be a little more resistant to wear and tear.There are a lot of things i like about this Leaf Life, including the 22oz size (nearly double my other one), the classy, smooth, natural bamboo finish, and the much wider infusion basket, which means i'm not always looking for the narrowest possible spoon. The only minor drawback to this is that the overall size of it can be a bit unwieldy... i never considered the depth of the water bottle pockets on my backpack to be too shallow before, but this sits just at the edge of being tall enough that it COULD fall out if the backpack was empty and i set the bag down wrong.Unfortunately, where this product fails is the lid. I wish I owned an infrared camera so I could upload proof, but as soon as you fill it up and tighten the lid, you can feel that the lid gets much warmer than the rest of the container. And it will stay that way, right up until all the rest of the heat leaks out. My other infuser? I can fill it up in the early morning, drive 2-3 hours to a campsite, take an hour or so to set everything up, take a 4-5 hour hike up a mountain and have a still-almost-too-hot-to-drink sip of earl grey once i get there. This one? I walked around for 5 hours on a chilly day at sea level, never opened it once, got it back home and it was lukewarm at best.If you just need something to keep your tea hot while you drink it, immediately after making it, this isn't a bad purchase. And so far it's been excellent for iced tea. So while this should really be a 3.5-star review, I don't mind rounding it up. But until they re-engineer the lid on this thing to insulate more thoroughly, the use cases for it will be severely limited.

I can put my water or my hot tea in this and drive to my job about 25 miles away in mid to heavy traffic and still enjoy a hot cup of tea when I reach my destination. Keeps the temperature well. It's a nice size and fits in my cupholder. The strainer basket works well for loose leaves.
