I should have read the reviews! I see why these 3-inch elbows are frequently returned. The elbows do not fit Charlotte Pipe 3" Schedule 40 PVC Pressure Pipe. The elbow fits INSIDE 3-inch PVC Elbows. Tees and Coupling. The elbow does not fit over 3-inch pipe as shown in the AMAZON pictures., it is the same size. Screwed! Fake advisement.

***Warning *** Not compatible with DWV schedule 40 pipe. ***Warning***
Not compatible with DWV schedule 40 pipe. I purchased this item along with many other items and not being a professional plumber I was mislead by the picture which shows a schedule 40 fitting (in my opinion). If I had looked at all the pictures, the last one clearly states that the fitting is not compatible with DWV schedule 40 pipe. This is my mistake and since my project dragged on longer than I suspected, I missed the window to return the item (my mistake). So if you are doing a DIY project and you live close to a hardware store, my advice is to buy locally so you do not make a lot of costly mistakes.
