We purchased these as a backup staple to fresh food. They are perfect. They are actually more than perfect. I will toss them in just about everything and they add the most amazing flavor: stir fries, scrambled eggs, baked salmon, and they are good uncooked too. They are lovely sprinkled on top of salads. Just smelling the container makes me happy. I came back to Amazon and repurchased 2 more tubs. I recommend this.

I really like this brand of pepper flakes. The flakes are beautifully dried and very fresh, and the quality of the sweet pepers used is excellent. I have a large Excaliber dryer and would normally dry my own, but these flakes are so reasonably priced and as good or better than what I would dry on my own. I would estimate that the package has the equivalent of 10 to 12 large sweet peppers... at the current market price of $1 + for fresh, this is a great deal. Thank you Denver Spice & Herb!

Nicely packed, the peppers are good size cut,but I was hoping for better flavor.

I frequently use red bell pepper flakes to add color and minimal taste to chicken, macaroni and egg salads.These flakes are a little larger and a little less expensive than the flakes I have ordered for years from a spice merchant. I tasted them and they taste just fine.And I will continue to use them to add color to otherwise pale foods. I find that a small handful or so works well.I am not concerned with taste - only with making the food look more appealing - and a handful won't add taste but will enhance the appearance of the food.

I grow pepper and have a supply of fresh or frozen for 8 months of the year, but these dried red peppers fill the same spot in my simple diet regimen very well. They are easy to use since there is not work to cut them up and remove the seeds. The price is fair considering the water content of fresh peppers is very high as is the price. This product is clean, fresh and tastes fine.

Tastes fantastic. I keep it in the fridge and it lasts forever. No waste.

Read carefully .These are thin flakes .Any pieces are stems. I must have ordered from Penzy last time.

I rehydrate and add to scrambled eggs. I use in soups and sauces.
