ProactivMD Ultra Gentle Face Cleanser with Ultra-Hydrating Moisturizer

I was looking to replace my facial soap because the person I usually buy from is no longer is available due to Covid. i saw the description and the feedback about this product and decided to try it. This product works well on my face. I have combination skin and struggle with getting the right product. In the past when I try the over the counter products I develop dry skin and break out. Not with this product. It's pricey but it does the job. It is well worth the price.

I am in my late 40's with dry, sensitive skin. I have tried proactive and found it to be too drying for me, but recently tried their body wash. It worked great for me, so I decided to give this a try.Initially I was quite pleased . . . there is a gentle clean scent, it washes my skin without stripping it, and although there is some drying not nearly what I experienced from other products. Unfortunately, the after effects were not as nice. After a couple days, my chin broke out in tiny whiteheads. If that were the only negative side effect I would have dismissed it as purging, but the next day my skin started peeling. Like . . . "did I somehow get a sunburn that didn't turn red but is peeling in sheets" peeling.The answer is no. I did not get a sunburn. I tried this on the back of my hand and in a couple of days experienced the peeling there as well. I cannot continue to use this product.
