Q: Do i have to install a magnet directly on my phone so it’ll stick to the mount ?

No...there's a metal plate that comes with it. If you have a phone case, just peel and stick that metal plate inside your phone case then put your phone back in and that'll stick to the mount. No need to stick it to the phone itself unless you don't have a phone case.

Q: Does it come with the magnet for the phone?

The magnet is in the mount. There is a round metal plate that attaches to your phone or phone cover. (Side note:the metal plate adhered and worked best on my phone inside the phone cover)

Q: If i have an iPhone x and a life proof case will this work?

Use the metal backing they provide, adhere it to the back of the case
