Although this book's title says it is about interesting stories for curious kids, it is also interesting stories for curious adults. Adults as well as kids can learn some interesting facts that they may have not known before reading this book. I recommend this book for both kids and adults. Some of the interesting facts that are mentioned by the author of this book include the following facts: French toast is known by different names throughout the world. In the Spanish-speaking world, it is called torrija while in Hong Kong, it is called Western toast. In Great Britain, French toast is called eggy bread. In France, French toast is known as pain perdu which translates into English as lost bread. The Vikings are responsible for making skiing popular. As with skating, skiing was invented in Scandinavia long before the Vikings used skiing. The word ski is an ancient word from Norse (the language of the Vikings) that means split wood.

This is a SERIOUSLY INTERESTING book, filled with information that kept me wondering what new fact I would learn next. From a dog who learned that it might be a good idea NOT to mess with a Cat's favorite person to learning how to grow a worm, I enjoyed reading. There were some truly thought-provoking facts and I enjoyed every minute of reading. Thank you to the author!I also look forward to Bill O'Neill's next book with great anticipation. The book has a lot of interesting facts for children. My grandson was very interested to read the different categories they wrote about.

My grandson is 10, and loves reading this. He asked about "Bazooka Joe gum" and I chuckled at the question.. which is a story within the book. He keeps reading it over and over er... good purchase!!
