Whitmor Aluminum Handle Triple Recycle Sorter Black

I live in the Bay Area, where recycling is like a religion. Living in an apartment and refusing to spend $100+ on a garbage/recycling can(s), meant that my recycling was semi-sorted, semi-piled on top of my refrigerator. When I could stack no more, I would take it down to the myriad of color coded trash cans at the back of my apartment complex.Thinking about how this product was going to make my life easier had me so excited that I was tracking every moment of this lifesaver's journey to California. Originally from the east coast, where recycling isn't really part of our lifestyle, I had always wondered how to get my glass bottle/aluminum can deposits back (I hear that my local Whole Foods actually returns deposits) but hadn't figured out how I would take my recyclables in.Some of the reviews had me worried that it wouldn't stand up on it's own. It does. It's sturdy enough that even without anything inside it stands up. It's a great size! It's NOT small but it's not too bulky that it takes up a lot of space. I really like the quality construction. The aesthetic is spot on. It looks great in my kitchen. I'm able to fit it lengthwise between the refrigerator and the wall or I can place it widthwise in front of a shelving unit.The top of my refrigerator is clear! I was able to easily put 4+ weeks of aluminum cans/plastics/cardboards and I still have room to spare. I was surprised that it's not at all heavy or bulky when full; it makes it really easy to carry down to the trash or car.This is a GREAT BUY!

We have a small kitchen and very limited space so after moving in, we didn't recycle for a few months *the shame*I was determined to find a container without sacrificing floor space - and voila! this recycle bag showed up.It's durable, the material is thick & great and although I haven't done it yet, I'm assuming it can be rinsed out. I will update my review if it turns out you can't...I really like that it's narrow and tall, and the carry handles (reinforced I might add) are perfect for carrying out to dump out. It holds a lot so unless you have a large family or use a lot of recyclable goods, you won't need to empty it constantly. I definitely recommend this product

We live in an apartment that doesn't offer a recycling program. We put out some brown paper bags against a wall in our apartment and were using those to separate our recycling. Unfortunately, it just wasn't a great set-up. I found these as an alternative and they are working great! They are thin enough to not be cumbersome, but also hold an incredible amount of recyclables! They are also made of really sturdy material, so you shouldn't experience any tearing or ripping of these bags. The handles are a nice touch and make it easier to dispose of our recyclables at our local drop-off center. We ordered two so we could separate the 6 types of recyclables that we use most often. They fit in the truck of my hatchback perfectly but would fit just as well in a backseat, if necessary. Overall, a necessary purchase for our current living situation!

I've had this recycling bag for years and it works great to hold a good number of recyclables. You can even sort them if needed. The bag is sturdy, looks very nice and was priced reasonable. Great way to tote to a recycling center or to bigger bins. The only flaw would be when cleaning. If products aren't rinsed out completely. A way to fix is using a paper bag inside for aluminum cans or bottles. Overall, a great product for space and organization.

It's a good size and the sturdy handle is awesome. The compartments are small-ish (approx 10x10 each), but tall, so they will hold a lot. It would be even more useful if one compartment was even bigger because plastics are so prolific as packaging and they can be big. But, overall, a great and useful tool. I have limited space, and my pantry is a little neater now. I like that I can just pick up the whole thing and take it to my recycle place. It says it's easy to clean, but I'm not going to test how easy it is to clean because I KNOW that tin cans and some other recyclables will have some wetness and dirtiness to deal with. I can only assume that you clean it by wiping it down with a damp sponge. I just use and reuse bags to keep the wetness and dirt contained. I have some biodegradable small bags for cans, etc. (which I also reuse).

This is the best tote bag ever. I live in an apartment and had to drive to a Recycling Center. I bought this tote on May 31st 2014 and have used it every single day since then. I have even packed food and clothes in it for several road trips. It's been in the rain and snow. It still looks brand new. The fabric is sturdy. The color hasn't faded. The logo is still crisp. The foam handles have not rotted. The stitching has not split. This is the best bag ever.My city has recently placed large recycling bins around downtown. So I can now pick up this bag, walk out my door, and go a few blocks to a recycling bin. I love this bag. I tried to add a photo but was unable. I expect to have this for another 10 years, at least.

I have tried so many things for recycling. I love this bag because it’s so sturdy and easy to transport to recycling bin. It is really big. I was surprised at how big it was when I received it. It’s slim so it fits in tight spaces. Best of all it doesn’t show dirt and is easy to clean.

Perfect for my back porch. Husband was impressed. Came so fast and in flat box. I could find lots of uses for these: crafts, Christmas wrappings and paper, cleaning tools... you could cover the “recycle” logo with something else. With the sturdy handles this is ideal for transporting anywhere. Even for sorting dirty clothes in kids room. Toys. Try one and you’ll buy more. Price is right!
