Q: Are they made of real fur?

I want to add something to this answer....I ordered these back in Oct. 2015 and they were real rabbit fur, however, when I reordered the same exact item in June 2016 the fur on the ones I received was synthetic...and my cat will NOT touch them.

Q: Will the color run when washed?

I don't know if the color will fade in the wash, however, my cat has dropped many of these mice in her water bowl . I have wrung them out and laid them out to dry and they were still just as good as new and the same color as they were when I got them. Also there are some kind of little beads inside them so they rattle and that was also not affected from soaking in the water bowl all night long . I would not suggest putting them in the dryer because the inside does have plastic in it that could melt. I think if you need to wash them it would be best to hand wash them and let them air dry after patting them with a towel.

Q: Is there catnip in these?

I purchased these when I read the answer that there was not catnip in them, because our cat is allergic to catnip. However right across the top of the package I received it states there is catnip in them. It's so hard to find toys for her.
