I’m really happy with this external CD/DVD drive. It was super easy to set up—just plug and play, no drivers needed. I used it to play old DVDs and install some software on my laptop, and it worked flawlessly every time. The build quality feels solid, and it’s lightweight and easy to carry. The read and write speeds are fast and quiet. Definitely a great value for the price. Highly recommended if you need a reliable optical drive!

I bought this because I thought I’d never be able to watch my old DVDs with memories of my kids again.I was honestly surprised at how easy it was to use just plugged it into my laptop and it worked right away, no setup needed.As soon as I popped in a disc, it started reading it. Seeing those photos and videos again was so special. It’s super lightweight, slim, and easy to store.Works great with Windows. I’m really happy with this purchase it helped me bring back moments I thought were gone.

The Drive performs exactly the task I ordered it for. Like many of the products we purchase to expand the devices for our 3 USB port laptops, this unit will not work on a USB hub. The unit is Plug & Play. The rest is all petty stuff. The User Manual is printed on the typical 4x4 paper. Get out the bifocals and a magnifying lens. There is a website for customer support/warranty. I could not find a reference to a website to download the user's manual and be able to read/see what the many ports are for on the drive. I assume it is customer support site.

This is much better than my previous DVD external drive. First of all, it’s much smaller than my previous one. Second, it only requires one USB port instead of two. However, it does come with an extra USB-A power cord in case it does need extra power. The instructions mention that possibly during burning you may want to use it but it might not be necessary. Three, you can use USB-A or USB-C which will come in handy as more devices are using USB-C. Fourth, it reads better than my other DVD drives. I had a DVD that I kept trying to rip but I kept getting too many errors. This DVD drive somehow was able to read the DVD. I love the way that the cords can be pushed in at the bottom to keep it very compact when storing or traveling. I never thought how nice it might be to have a carrying case, but I am likely to be using it.It didn’t require any type of set up, as soon as I plugged it into my computer it was ready to be used. So if you’re like me that’s an old timer still with DVDs around, this will be a great product.

This drive can read any CD, from cheap $10 pack CDs, to very high quality CD albums. With my system, it could write CDs up to 10x speed, but I recommend you write 1x speed or as slow as possible to prevent vibration damage to this CD drive, and anything under it. Writing a CD gets loud but other than that, it has a sim card reader and extra usb ports so this drive is good.

I finally used this drive and what a pleasure it is. It's easy to hook up, easy to load a disc and easy to play or rip the disc to my laptop. It played the disc immediately and ripped an entire disc in well less than five minutes. It's so well done, from having a niche to keep its hook-up cord in and a little cloth sack to keep everything together when not in use. Excellent item.

the disk drive I used to have in my pc stopped working a few years ago and I never replaced it. (IIRC I threw my desktop, I can't remember why to save my life, honestly, no hdd at the time, only an m2 ssd so the pc works as normal, but the expensive m-disc compatible disc drive, which I was going to use for data archival and storage but never really did, stopped working correctly and I eventually removed it. Relatedly I need to clean my pc soon, thing is filthy). Anyway, I usually download ps2 roms to emulate since no disc reader. There was one I couldn't find online so I ordered this to rip the copy I have on hand (I own the vast majority of the ps2 games I emulate). It works like a charm, and I ripped a few more games while I was at it. Might rip my cd collection later too. it's been sitting unused for a few years. Oh and while the instructions for this say not to use it with a usb extension, I did because the built in lead is short, and it works fine, though my extender is blue, meaning it's usb 3.0 rated. It's a 3 or 4 foot extension.

This ORIGBELIE external CD drive is a must-have! I needed a way to access my old music CDs and install software from DVDs—this solved everything. Plug-and-play setup was instant (no drivers needed!), and USB 3.0 makes transfers super fast. Only downside: doesn’t work with tablets or phones, but for laptops, it’s perfect!
