5G dont work properly and not great signal even with external antenna. Firmware is limited and update is blocked

Went from like 50 mbps to 300+ might be different for other people but yeah this is amazing for me

Received the item today without the boxes and few scratches on the item, I belived this is not brand new item.

I bought this to replace a 4G version, so very familiar with the interface. Got it set up on EE OK initially - although I was slightly worried when the WiFI connection was prefixed ‘Three_Xxxxxxxxxxx’. Got into the device using the HUAWEI AI Life to set the APN, and there is no menu item for APN. Digging a bit deeper the web interface through 192.168.0.1 presented a Three log in page and no access to the web configuration. I need this to configure external antennas.Bottom line - this is a ‘refurbished’ ex Three router - not a generic Huawei CPE pro as the description seems to make out. Why it’s for sale in here is anyones guess, other than it has sent back fraudulently and not really been checked by those company that apparently ‘refurbished’ it.

Should have read the reviews, device is on three mobile firmware and is limited. It's not WiFi 6, was packaged poorly just the router and power plug in bubble wrap. Unit was dirty and definitely not refurbished. Refunded and going for a ZTE CPE MC888. Should have went for a new unit In the first place. Lesson learned.

I received this today and everything was fine. I wanted to see if it was truly unlocked, so i put in a Lyca sim card. After confirming it worked, i removed the lyca since it belonged to my phone and put it a 3 sim card. After the router booted up, it started flashing and i lost internet connection. I was quite baffled, so i removed the socket and plugged it back in....well, that was all she wrote. The router never came back on again no matter what i tried. My theory is that since this device was designed for 3 and not the default Huawei router, after unlocking it, if a 3 sim is to be put inside again, it will stop working. I could be wrong but i have no other explanation as to why 1min it was fine with a Lyca sim and then broke down after putting in a 3 sim. Anyway, returning for a refund. I didn't know this was the one designed for 3, otherwise i wouldnt have bought it because it's not worth it.

I can get a 5G signal with my phone but not this router. Disappointing but I am hoping it will perform better once devices are connected.Not that great an item. Not sure if I would recommend it to anyone
