Complex Concepts Distilled in its Most Simple Form
Really appreciate this book and the author for taking the basic concepts of IFS and making them feel so approachable. This visual aid (in the form of cartoons) is great too. I have used this to help both friends and clients. I HIGHLY recommend it as an introduction or compliment to other books like No Bad Parts.

Great for teens or some clients
I’m a mental health therapist and this would be great for teen clients or adults who want to learn more w/o committing to a full length book. Great illustration and I really enjoyed it!

Beautifully illustrated, easy to understand, and highly beneficial
I got this book on advice from my therapist. It was my first introduction to IFS and I am so grateful for the coping skills and emotional work this book emphasizes. It revolutionized the way that I look at myself and in particular the parts of myself I dislike.Without going into details about my trauma, I'd say my main takeaways from this book were:- All parts of ourselves exist for a reason.- No part is inherently bad or wrong, we just need to learn how to soothe and work with it, instead of against it and letting the part take the driver's seat.- Self-compassion can be very difficult, but with it you can learn to live a happier, lighter, and more fulfilled life.I highly recommend this book. If you're on the fence- buy it.

ABSOLUTELY A MUST-HAVE!!
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for this beautiful book by Colleen West on IFS. It's been an incredible resource, and I've found it easy to understand, even when dealing with complicated subjects. Your help and support have been invaluable to me, and I can't thank you enough for everything you've done on this topic, as presented and eloquently in this book. I highly recommend it. A+++

Clear and correct!
This book was recommended by our counselor and after reading it, I understand why. It really is the best way of understanding internally conflicts. It's totally worth the cost, even if you're unsure if you struggle with this issue... Someone you know does and it helps! I recommend it to everyone!

Every therapist and client needs a copy
As a trauma therapist I am always searching for quick ways to explain complicated concepts. This book takes IFS/ego states and gives a quick explanation, that is easy to grasp, and easy to hold onto. I recommend this book to clients, residents, and other therapists alike.

Came dirty
Would have given it 5 starts but it came splattered with some clear stuff and some dirt on random places. Luckily all outside

Buy this book!
I was so mad, this tiny book for THIS cost! Yet I've read loads of books on Parts, deep books going into everything, and this book... It's a perfect ssummary of all of them, easy to understand, perfect for clients, it gets the the point in a way that traumatised clients with chronic illness can comprehend.Buy this book if you want the basics in part work (ie. You are a client) and if your a coach buy it for your clients. You won't regret it, I don't. Highly Recommended.
