Can this be used for duck grit?

No, this product in appearance and texture is like white flour. It is ideal for spreading in you duck coop areas to reduce the smells and absorb unwanted substances in these areas. For grit you need a coarser material because chickens and duck swallow the grit and it remains in their crop where their food (grain pellets, grass, hay, etc.) is initially ground up to pass through their digestive system. Chicks require a medium size grit because their crop is smaller and their food (crumbles, finer grains) is smaller in size.
