Hello, there and I’m back again with another product review. This one is not sponsored as I did buy this myself. So, I know I ramble a bit if I’m not prompted so that’s why I use a teleprompter to at least guide me to keep me on track, and in many cases, I will write out my script completely and read it out. But that’s not what this is about. It is about the space which I use for making my YouTube videos and the efficiency of setting up my recording process. You see, to use the teleprompter, I need to use a tripod and I have two options, I either leave it on the floor there or I put it away and take it out every time I record. The latter is most used as we do have guests from time to time and I need to put that monstrosity away. And that’s kind of what I will be discussing here. I have purchased a desk-mounted camera mount with an auxiliary arm just so that I can keep all my stuff in one location and have nothing I must drag out or have to consume precious floor space. And here we are…my review of the JUSMO Camera Desk Mount with Auxiliary Holding Arm.Who’s if for?• Photographers• Videographers• Live streamers• Gamers• And for anything in between where you need a mount to secure something that uses a ¼ 20What’s good about it?• Feels very solid and has a great clamp – most 1-star reviews show that the clamp broke while installing it. It’s made of aluminum and if you tighten it too much and especially on a non-parallel surface you can cause it to fail.• 43” is quite tall for a desk. You can adjust this for almost anything you see fit• The arm has a great clamp and it is very solid – just remember nothing more than 2.2 lbs• The ball joints lock very solidly into position and feel like good quality• There are so many options that you can use this for.• If you do it right you can mount it on a glass-covered desk – as I have. What’s not so good about it?• From the reviews I am concerned that the aluminum tabletop bracket may break in the near future.• There is some difficulty in the placement of the mount for that perfect location. I mean that to do a video I need to push the camera back so it’s attached to the rear of my desk but to do a top-down video like to review something that’s on my desk then I need to move it forward towards me to view at the right spot on my desk.• The arm will only attach to the bottom 2 sections of the 3-section desk mount. The top section is too small to fit the arm• Can’t extend the arm but it’s understood why – too far and it will put too much pressure on the desk mount and possibly break the clamp at the baseMy final thoughts:• What a great tool for using for whatever you want to do with it. I mean, you can use it for a camera mount at your desk, you can use it for a light mount to give you that fill-in light or key light, you can use it to do those product reviews from the top-down view with the arm. I mean, so many uses, but what I use it for is so perfect for me.• I have been able to remove a tripod that has taken so much floor space from me. And as well, because I can leave it up all the time, I now have a teleprompter that takes no time to set up. I just need to turn on the tablet, set up the script, turn on the camera and start recording.• While I have had this for only a few short weeks I feel that this will be part of my future in making videos and be crucial for it too.• There are options to buy the individual components from this kit and to be honest I really see myself buying a few more of these kits and some of the individual items.Closing:• I am great at rigging things up and making them work. But in the case of using a teleprompter in conjunction with my camera, I can’t really cut corners. I needed a tripod that was sturdy enough to hold those things and be adjustable to work for me. But while I was looking at things to buy and do a product review on I ran across the JUSMO VIJIM LS02 Desk mounting Stand and I thought this would be great for my desk.• For the price and what comes with it I am quite impressed with this and as I said before, I will probably get more of these for my setup. I really like this mount and it has saved me floor space in my room to use for other things.• This is worth the money in my opinion and I suggest that if you need to save some space in your office or room area then get one of these now, you'll be happy you did.My YouTube review:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VX1eTIzchFM

Sturdy and light arm!
It was great for my needs, and it worked just fine. I was a little frustrated at the beginning, as it's a telescopic tripod-like pole, the last tube is smaller in diameter and the clamp at the end of the auxiliary arm just can't be fixed in that part of the pole, so I couldn't use the higher point of the pole... But, I realize that the CLAMP is REMOVABLE, so, you can unscrew the clamp from the aux. arm, and screw the aux. arm it into the camera mount at the end of the last pole, and problem solved! you can reach the highest point of the pole with a sturdy set up. As I said, It work just fine for me, I needed to put a little projector looking down, so I needed that Highest point, and it workerd.

Surprisingly Sturdy
I needed three inexpensive copy stand set-ups for artifact photography and these worked great. Our Cameras are Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLRs and these stands were plenty sturdy enough to support them. Added bonus is that the arm is longer than on a regular copy stand so that small people like me didn't have to bend way across the table to focus the camera. The stands have lots of other uses, too such as for clipping lights, gels, bounce boards etc. Very handy.

Pretty good, with limitations
The vertical post is sturdy and beneficial. The smaller arm is more flimsy than I’d prefer and does not hold much weight. Was hoping to affix a mirrorless camera to it, which I have done, but the arm does not feel secure let alone remain horizontal. Of course you can adjust the camera’s horizon with the mounting head, but I don’t trust the system as is. A light, a mic, or a smaller camera like a GoPro or phone is what this works best for.

Great mount - now my webcam is at JUST the right height!
I'm so glad I found this setup. I have my ring light up high, and the side-arm has my webcam at just the perfect height for when I'm online. Highly recommend!

Good but can't support a lot of weight
Overall, I would say this mount does the job for my needs. Below are my thoughts:PROS:~ well built metal poles.~ high degree of movement positioning the mounts just at the right angle.CONS:~ not sure if the one I received was defective, but my camera mount is angled downwards and is not leveled. Not the end of the world but irritating.~ Did not support my Canon camera well as it started pushing the camera mount down and I would have to adjust the picture to be level.~ The tightening screws are plastic and not high quality.~ Never understood why the prices on these mounts are so high. If you don't 100 need this I would not recommend.

Great iPad/Document Camera Support
I know that this was designed for vloggers, but I’ve been using this in my classroom for the last month. I use this with an iPad to project what I’m doing on the table to a large screen television. When used with an iPad tripod adapter this makes a great wireless document camera mount. It’s sturdy, a good size, and the table clamp seems strong and secure. I move it around the classroom frequently and it’s easy to take off and put on tables. So far the swiveling camera mount at the end of the arm has remained tight and holds the weight of an iPad without sagging. We’ll see how it stands up to use in an elementary classroom for an entire school year. I have high hopes that I’ll be able to use this for some years to come.

Adequate
Adequately holds up my mirror less camera and a led light for video streaming. Sturdy enough for my needs. I would appreciate some additional adjustability of the perpendicular arm, but it does fine at this price point.
