Great price, does the job.
These were very easy to use. They start out very light and folded up. You just unroll them in the spot you want and after 3-5 minutes, they puff up and immediately redirects the water. You can move them around after they puff up too. They definitely saved my house from pools of water around the edges. Only negative is that some of the little beads(?) leaked out of some of the barriers. Not sure if they're toxic or not. Also, I'm not sure if they will shrink back to their original flat size. It's been about 4 days and they're still bloated. I'm going to move them to a sunnier part of the yard to see if they will shrink faster.

Buying More After 2023 South Florida Flooding
We had purchased a limited number of these in the past as part of our hurricane prepararedness kit. After the 2023 South Florida flooding, we realized we barely had enough, so we ordered more. Product worked as described and was an effective barrier to keep flood waters out of our house. With more than 25+ years of hurricanes in the area we never had the flooding we had this year in South Florida. While the supply of product we had was sufficient to hold back the rising waters, we did not anticipate the compounding effect caused by inconsiderate people driving through flooded streets in trucks causing wakes that overtook our barriers. As a result, we decided to order more.

This order never came so I got them at Costco and I love them
Trying to get these here was not easy. So I gave up and happened to see them at Costco so I got them anyway. That little voice saying, "You're going to need these," and I said OK!Then my hot water heater went out late at night a few weeks ago and I ran for the Quick Dams.Wow am I glad I got them. However, be aware of how, and how long, they take to dry out.According to their web site, you can't dry them in the sun, and it can take THREE MONTHS for them to dry completely.Fortunately I only used a couple and had to dry them out in the garage, under my vehicle. We have a lot of sun here and it's tricky because most shade doesn't remain shade. Trying to dry them out of the sun becomes a shell game.So just know what you're in for. Otherwise, they're worth their weight in gold.

Still undecided- performance "okay".
I used two of these ( 5 ft.length ea.) to block water from my back door where water creeps in during heavy rains. Used for outer bands of Florence rains- at times, torrential, so water did come in.I would rate their ability to block water as fair to good. Will need to use again to really evaluate. Apparently, they can be re-used, which is an upside, BUT, they are REALLY heavy to move when flood protection is no longer needed. I have had mine on my cement porch, draped over a garden bench to drain for approx. 9 days, and they are only about halfway drained/dried out. I think smaller ones would have been better for my use, as I had a hard time moving them. Also, they contain a gel substance that, while it does absorb excess water well, seeps out of fabric sack, and is extremely slippery- watch your step !P.S.- Took a VERY long time for order to arrive, and I had some issues with product upon receipt.

Great product
Came in clutch during spring thaw and rains. Amazing how quick they worked and how well they held back water. Gave us a chance to get a sump in the water and divert it elsewhere. Every professional homeowner needs a few on hand!

Works very well
Purchased the quick dam to put at basement doors to prevent water from coming in under the doors. After several months and a lot of rain, there has been NO water in the basement.

This is a very good product that absorbs water pretty fast however
This is a very good product that absorbs water pretty fast however, it has a very sticky product that leaches out of the barrier fabric (this is probably the chemical hygroscopic compound that absorbs the water so effectively) and when it gets on surfaces it creates a very slippery surface and anyone that comes in contact with It can easily slip and fall. I also recommend purchasing the smaller quantity packages because the large bulk quantity package (15-20+) came in a box altogether and each item was not individually packaged. If one gets wet they all would have gotten wet; hence they would have been activated. This is not good for long term storage unless you put several (1-3) in plastic air evac. bags which I did.
