Slightly smelly when nearby, however does the job very well
We have areas that when we take walk down a long driveway we are met with ferocious deer flies or horse flies. Until placing this item every 200 feet. Gone! even the regular house flies, after a few days. They are great around the chicken coop, beach area, you name it. Just don't place it near you hang out. Maybe give yourself a good 20 feet. I now get these every year. They are gross as it get towards the end of the summer and disposing them can be a challenge if you don't have trash pick up. Don't make the mistake I did and put them in the car truck to being to the dump, after less than a minute in the car it was unbearable and it took a week to air out the smell. I now hang a bag from the bike rack, to bring to the dump. PS. wear plastic gloves.

They work.
These always attract a lot of flies. I've tried other brands and they don't work as well.

This brand actually works!
Well, I've tried other outdoor fly traps but this one from Rescue actually gets the job done. It's easy to set up with no mess and attracts flies like crazy and captures them in the bag. The whole idea is to put it about 30 feet or more away from your patio or area you're sitting in and draw the flies away from you. Once in a while we might get a fly or two but not often at all. This makes it pleasant when outside with friends. The Rescue fly trap bag simply has a small plastic cover that you easily cut away, pop up the top and fill it in your sink to the water line. At that point all you do is hang it up. I placed a permanent screw into the tree with a stiff wire that I can use over and over again. Then all I have to do is hang the fly trap on it, leave it for a week, then put it in a Ziploc gallon bag in the trash. It can be pretty gross so be sure to only put it out on the day you have trash pickup. Once the Flies get going there is a smell that goes with it but it stays pretty near the trap. If you do this early in the season it cuts down on how many flies will continue to multiply in your area. I must say it's simple but well-designed.

These work!
These work really well! They are really stink, but they work. We use them in a horse barn where the flies can be horrible. The smell is not bad if they are put at a bit of distance to draw the flies away as the instructions say. However, with the massive amount of flies we have we put them where needed. Uusally by the time it starts to smell really bad it is so full that the bags need replacing. We do often have to replace the bags before the recommended 30 days because they are so full, and larvea start crawling out the bags. It's best to dump the used bags and spray the larvea to kill them. Or, put them in a very heavy duty, double bagged, super well sealed bags before putting them in the trash can. If not, it is possible to have a trash can covered in larvea (really gross). But, these work better than others I have tried and we buy large quanities several times a summer.

Super stinky but effective.
I enjoy my patio in the summer but not the flies that want to land on me and any food and drinks. The Rescue! fly traps work well to reduce the fly populations to a manageable level in my backyard. The traps are easy to use - fill them with water and hang (I use a zip tie because the traps do not come with a hanger). When the traps dry out, I can add more water and they will continue attracting and trapping flies. As far warning, however, they work so well because they stink so much. I highly recommend hanging them away from your and your neighbors' outdoor living spaces. The stench increases as more flies are trapped, and I sometimes wonder if an animal died in the bushes when I forget about the traps. I have to be super careful when disposing of the traps to avoid spilling the stinky contents on myself.Edited on 6/6/2023: These fly traps continue to work very well. This year, we put traps out in the early spring before "fly season" started, and our yard seems to have a reduced number of flies overall this year. I do have to warn though, that the flies will breed inside the bags, resulting in a cesspool of stinky water filled with fly corpses and live maggots. None of these nasties can escape, but it's pretty gross to look at and I have to be careful to take them down and dispose of them in the dumpster immediately so the dogs do not find them. I also now check to ensure that no spiders have made their way inside the bag before disposal. This past week, I ended up with two large jumping spiders who had crawled inside the bag and were feasting. When I disposed of the traps, I did not want to drown the spiders, so we ended up cutting the bag open to free the jumpers back into our yard.

Use them all the time
I like this brand of fly bag the best. We live in the Florida Panhandle. This year the flies have been some new kind of awful! We have 4 equine rescues and trying to keep the flies from driving them and us nuts is a real chore, but these certainly help. I probably over use them. The heat dries them out really quickly so I refill the water over and over. As long as they smell awful, they work. It is what attracts the flies. I hang them with baling twine on shepherd’s hooks, plant hangers, or just plain old nails. Don’t hang them too high or they don’t work as well. I find they work best within 4 feet of the ground. When they are ‘full’, I just tie them up in a shopping bag or a garbage bag so that if they spill nothing gets out. Good luck!

Will buy every year
Easy to assemble and hang but we reinforced hanging with zip ties for extra security. They do exactly as needed. Only complaint is when they get full you have to be very careful not to spill when trying to screw the top shut so you can dispose of and hang a new one.
