Usually by day 2 or 3 from last time I shampoo I start getting itchy blisters and red itchy skin around my hair line closest to my temples. I usually have to use head and shoulders, the one in the dark blue bottle that stinks and it clears me right up but I hate how my hair smells after. So I will usually do a shampoo and conditioner i love up until they day I start getting itchy and forced to use head and shoulders , if I don't my scalp gets angry its a vicious cycle. I bought this for my son in strawberry after trying the lavender lemon one , we also tried the one with shea but that gives my son tiny little dry bumps all over his arms and legs. This one that has coconut is perfect for him. I tried it on my hair when I started getting itchy blisters in my scalp going on day 2 from last shampoo and was already thinking I have to shampoo again the next day. Well guess what I didn't get any more blisters, the other ones are gone and haven't gotten any itchiness or redness around my hair line and it has helped me keep my hair less oily . I haven't had to use stinky orange shampoo . I am on day six and have shampooed twice and my scalp is happy and my hair has a very light hint of strawberry scent. My hair is mostly virgin hair except the tips those where bleached and this shampo did make my ends a little stiff after when I dont put conditioner . I have not tried this brand conditioner but I plan to when I finish my honest unscented conditioner.

[For a disclaimer I should mention that I’m using this product for myself- a twenty year old way too sensitive skin- and not a baby as the product is geared towards.]For basic everyday body care, Alaffia products are my favorite- lightweight and yet effective, and with the added benefit of some charity to lighten my day.Honestly, I don’t quite know how to feel about this product: it’s very light so I’ve got to use a couple of pumps for a complete head-to-toe lather, and unless I use some other conditioner, hair oil, or their paired baby body lotion my hair gets a little crisp when it dries... but other than those two problems (which honestly aren’t that concerning to me), the smell alone is worth the purchase. My skin is more reactive than sodium to water, and finding products that don’t cause a reaction besides some minor drying out is rare (hence my use of baby products for their lack of chemicals and over all gentleness). This wash is- and I shall repeat- super lightweight and gentle, and absolutely perfect for highly volatile skin.If you’re looking for something to use for your own sensitivities or for your baby, I would suggest this wash PLUS the lotion to combat possible dryness (or whatever conditioning agent you prefer).

Love this soap. Keep it in my shower for the whole family. When guests leave they ask me what kind of soap I have in the shower so they can purchase it.

There's a lot of kind of "pretend natural" companies out there, this is one of the very few that have great ingredients, I hope they never change their formula. I use this brand for my children and myself, we love the scents and how well it cleans!

Fantastic product. My son has super sensitive skin with eczema and this doesn't cause him to dry out or break out. I love that it has no chemicals and is rated 100% on the Yuka app for purity. I will definitely keep buying this. The scent is amazing and smells like starburst.

This shampoo/body wash smells super good, seems like the quality is great, lathers up well and leaves our skin really soft. It is a pretty dark brown color, so if it isn’t rinsed off of the tub it leaves a brown residue but washes off fine.

I love this shampoo; it gets my hair squeaky clean and has nice, clean ingredients. I have had issues with my hair being tangly after using this product and the Alaffia conditioner doesn't work well for me. I have long, wavy hair and this shampoo makes my hair shiny and easy to manage when using the right conditioner. I use a Vunella conditioner bar on the tips of my hair, they're the best value when you bundle. It also helps that I don't use any heat treatment or dye my hair. I used to have to cut my hair when it got longer because it became too unmanageable but I haven't had to with this shampoo and conditioner combo. I'm gonna see how long I can grow out my hair!

Okay, let's start with the smell. My husband hates it, I told him that's the cost of health and wellness. All those things you can think of that smell good, almost too good, it's for a reason.... and fragrance is bad. The bottles are smaller than what I thought they would be but after this next point, I'm really grateful for that. I actually think that this is a terrible value for the money and super ineffective. It has little to no lather, the smell, as little as it has, doesn't stay for very long - but where they lose me is... I've been to the pediatrician twice since starting this product.... it started with some skin dryness on my baby's knees. The doctor was hesitant to blame the wash because she's crawling and on her knees a lot. All of a sudden, a rash broke out on her lower back... I called the drs office and they told me to watch it for a few days, up to a week. A few days later the rash got worse... it spread, it was redder, and bumpier. We took her to the pediatrician yesterday morning, they asked for a photo of the wash and asked us to chuck it. Not only did it dry the heck out of her skin, other patients of his have complained about the same product. We tried a different wash last night and it looks 85% better today, it's crazy. Pulled it out of her bathroom as soon as we got back home from the drs office.
