Worked Great to Drive my 8" Ice Auger for Winter Fishing
I use this drill for drilling holes in the ice to fish in the winter. I have a 8" diameter hand auger and the hand-crank part was a little bent, making it difficult to use. The main part of the shaft with the flights was fine, so I purchased this drill in hopes that it was powerful enough to drive the ice auger. Plus, I already had some DeWalt 5Ah batteries from other tools I own. I live in Colorado, and the ice was about 20 inches thick that winter. I was able to drill several holes without any problems. In the end, way cheaper than a full dedicated electric ice auger setup.......and now I also have a powerful drill for anything else that might require it.

Works as expected
Does what it's supposed to. I drilled a few 5/8" holes in concrete footings to replace desk posts. 0 hesitation and honestly surprised me after using an SDS for years doing concrete work. Reading some of the other reviews, I don't think people are using new/good bits.

Industrial strength!
DeWalt products have never disappointed me, even with severe use. This one is definitely industrial strength!!

Best hammer drill I’ve worked with
I grew up with a father who owned his own construction company, so I’ve used my share of power tools over the years. Every hammer drill I’ve worked with has been corded. Since I’m already set up with batteries and had a project that needed drilling in masonry and stone, I gave this thing a try.OMG, I didn’t know drilling into masonry could be so much fun…after decades of heavy, cumbersome hammer drills, this thing rocks. Great torque.Next week I’ll be using on natural stone, starting with hammer off.

Torque Monster—Plows Through Concrete
This thing doesn’t mess around. It ate through concrete like butter with a masonry bit. Battery life is solid, and the chuck holds tight. If you need a hammer drill that actually delivers, this is the one.

surprisingly powerful
very powerful, used to drill anchor holes in large concrete foundation without problems. Well balanced, not that tiring.

Nice drill
This drill is outstanding it works for your basic drill needs and enhanced drilling purposes such as concrete drilling. I’ve noticed on this drill in particular it has a three setting light switch, which will stay on after using and is very bright. Highly recommended.
